Luke 17
1He saidΕἶπενthenδὲtoπρὸςtheτοὺςdisciplesμαθητὰςof Himαὐτοῦ·ImpossibleἈνένδεκτόνit isἐστινforτοῦtheτὰstumbling blocksσκάνδαλαnotμὴto comeἐλθεῖν,butπλὴνwoe [to him]οὐαὶbyδι’whomοὗthey comeἔρχεται·
2It is betterλυσιτελεῖfor himαὐτῷifεἰa stoneλίθοςof a millμυλικὸςis hungπερίκειταιaroundπερὶtheτὸνneckτράχηλονof himαὐτοῦandκαὶhe is thrownἔρριπταιintoεἰςtheτὴνseaθάλασσανthanἢthatἵναhe should cause to stumbleσκανδαλίσῃτῶνlittleμικρῶνof theseτούτωνoneἕνα.
3Take heedπροσέχετεto yourselvesἑαυτοῖς.Ifἐὰνshould sinἁμάρτῃtheὁbrotherἀδελφόςof youσουrebukeἐπιτίμησονhimαὐτῷ,andκαὶifἐὰνhe should repentμετανοήσῃforgiveἄφεςhimαὐτῷ·
4Andκαὶifἐὰνseven timesἑπτάκιςin theτῆςdayἡμέραςhe should sinἁμαρτήσῃagainstεἰςyouσὲandκαὶseven timesἑπτάκιςshould returnἐπιστρέψῃtoπρὸςyouσὲsayingλέγων·I repentΜετανοῶ,you shall forgiveἀφήσειςhimαὐτῷ.
5AndΚαὶsaidεἶπανtheοἱapostlesἀπόστολοιto theτῷLordκυρίῳ·AddΠρόσθεςto usἡμῖνfaithπίστιν.
6SaidεἶπενthenδὲtheὁLordκύριος·IfΕἰyou haveἔχετεfaithπίστινlikeὡςa grainκόκκονof mustardσινάπεως,you would have saidἐλέγετεἂνto theτῇmulberry treeσυκαμίνῳthisταύτῃ·Be uprootedἘκριζώθητιandκαὶbe plantedφυτεύθητιinἐνtheτῇseaθαλάσσῃ·andκαὶit would have obeyedὑπήκουσενἂνyouὑμῖν.
7WhichΤίςnowδὲofἐξyouὑμῶνa servantδοῦλονhavingἔχωνplowingἀροτριῶνταorἢshepherdingποιμαίνοντα,the [one]ὃςhaving come inεἰσελθόντιout ofἐκtheτοῦfieldἀγροῦwill sayἐρεῖto himαὐτῷ·ImmediatelyΕὐθέωςhaving comeπαρελθὼνreclineἀνάπεσε,
8Butἀλλ’notοὐχὶwill he sayἐρεῖto himαὐτῷ·PrepareἙτοίμασονwhatτίI may eatδειπνήσωandκαὶhaving girded yourself aboutπεριζωσάμενοςserveδιακόνειmeμοιwhileἕωςI eatφάγωandκαὶdrinkπίω,andκαὶafterμετὰthese thingsταῦταshall eatφάγεσαιandκαὶdrinkπίεσαιyouσύ;
9Notμὴis heἔχειthankfulχάρινto theτῷservantδούλῳbecauseὅτιhe didἐποίησενthe thingsτὰhaving been commandedδιαταχθέντα;
10Thusοὕτωςalsoκαὶyouὑμεῖς,whenὅτανyou may have doneποιήσητεallπάνταthe [things]τὰhaving been commandedδιαταχθένταyouὑμῖν,sayλέγετεὅτιServantsΔοῦλοιunworthyἀχρεῖοίare weἐσμεν,that whichὃwe were boundὠφείλομενto doποιῆσαιwe have doneπεποιήκαμεν.
11AndΚαὶit came to passἐγένετοinἐνtheτῷgoing upπορεύεσθαιtoεἰςJerusalemἸερουσαλὴμthatκαὶHeαὐτὸςwas passingδιήρχετοthroughδιὰ[the] midstμέσονof SamariaΣαμαρείαςandκαὶGalileeΓαλιλαίας.
12Andκαὶon enteringεἰσερχομένουof Himαὐτοῦintoεἴςa certainτιναvillageκώμηνmetἀπήντησανtenδέκαleprousλεπροὶmenἄνδρες,whoοἳstoodἔστησανafar offπόρρωθεν,
13Andκαὶtheyαὐτοὶlifted upἦραν[their] voiceφωνὴνsayingλέγοντες·JesusἸησοῦMasterἐπιστάτα,have compassion onἐλέησονusἡμᾶς.
14Andκαὶhaving seen [them]ἰδὼνHe saidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·Having goneΠορευθέντεςshowἐπιδείξατεyourselvesἑαυτοὺςto theτοῖςpriestsἱερεῦσιν.Andκαὶit came to passἐγένετοinἐνtheτῷgoingὑπάγεινthemαὐτοὺςthey were cleansedἐκαθαρίσθησαν.
15Oneεἷςthenδὲofἐξthemαὐτῶν,having seenἰδὼνthatὅτιhe was healedἰάθη,turned backὑπέστρεψενwithμετὰa voiceφωνῆςloudμεγάληςglorifyingδοξάζωντὸνGodθεόν,
16andκαὶhe fellἔπεσενonἐπὶ[his] faceπρόσωπονatπαρὰtheτοὺςfeetπόδαςof Himαὐτοῦgiving thanksεὐχαριστῶνto Himαὐτῷ·andκαὶheαὐτὸςwasἦνa SamaritanΣαμαρίτης.
17Having answeredἀποκριθεὶςthenδὲὁJesusἸησοῦςsaidεἶπεν·notΟὐχὶtheοἱtenδέκαwere cleansedἐκαθαρίσθησαν;οἱButδὲthe nineἐννέαare whereποῦ;
18Noneοὐχwas there foundεὑρέθησανhaving returnedὑποστρέψαντεςto giveδοῦναιgloryδόξαντῷto Godθεῷifεἰnotμὴtheὁforeignerἀλλογενὴςthisοὗτος;
19AndκαὶHe saidεἶπενto himαὐτῷ·Having risen upἈναστὰςgo forthπορεύου·theἡfaithπίστιςof youσουhas curedσέσωκένyouσε.
20Having been askedἘπερωτηθεὶςnowδὲbyὑπὸtheτῶνPhariseesΦαρισαίωνwhenπότεis comingἔρχεταιtheἡkingdomβασιλείατοῦof GodθεοῦHe answeredἀπεκρίθηthemαὐτοῖςandκαὶsaidεἶπεν·NotΟὐκcomesἔρχεταιtheἡkingdomβασιλείατοῦof Godθεοῦwithμετὰcareful observationπαρατηρήσεως,
21norοὐδὲwill they sayἐροῦσιν·BeholdἸδοὺhereὧδεorἤ·ThereἘκεῖ·Beholdἰδοὺforγὰρtheἡkingdomβασιλείατοῦof Godθεοῦin the midstἐντὸςof youὑμῶνisἐστιν.
22He saidΕἶπενthenδὲtoπρὸςtheτοὺςdisciplesμαθητάς·Will comeἘλεύσονταιdaysἡμέραιwhenὅτεyou will desireἐπιθυμήσετεoneμίανof theτῶνdaysἡμερῶνof theτοῦSonυἱοῦτοῦof Manἀνθρώπουto seeἰδεῖνandκαὶnotοὐκyou will see [it]ὄψεσθε.
23Andκαὶthey will sayἐροῦσινto youὑμῖν·BeholdἸδοὺthereἐκεῖ·BeholdἸδοὺhereὧδε·Notμὴgo forthἀπέλθητεnorμηδὲfollowδιώξητε.
24Asὥσπερforγὰρtheἡlightningἀστραπὴflashingἀστράπτουσαfromἐκthe [one end]τῆςofὑπὸtheτὸνskyοὐρανὸνtoεἰςthe [other end]τὴνof theὑπ’skyοὐρανὸνshinesλάμπει,thusοὕτωςwill beἔσταιtheὁSonυἱὸςτοῦof Manἀνθρώπουinἐνtheτῇdayἡμέρᾳof Himαὐτοῦ.
25Firstπρῶτονhoweverδὲit behoovesδεῖHimαὐτὸνmany thingsπολλὰto sufferπαθεῖνandκαὶto be rejectedἀποδοκιμασθῆναιbyἀπὸtheτῆςgenerationγενεᾶςthisταύτης.
26Andκαὶasκαθὼςit came to passἐγένετοinἐνtheταῖςdaysἡμέραιςof NoahΝῶε,thusοὕτωςwill it beἔσταιalsoκαὶinἐνtheταῖςdaysἡμέραιςof theτοῦSonυἱοῦofτοῦmanἀνθρώπου·
27They were eatingἤσθιον,they were drinkingἔπινον,they were marryingἐγάμουν,they were being given in marriageἐγαμίζοντο,untilἄχριthatἧςdayἡμέραςenteredεἰσῆλθενNoahΝῶεintoεἰςtheτὴνarkκιβωτόν,andκαὶcameἦλθενtheὁfloodκατακλυσμὸςandκαὶdestroyedἀπώλεσενallπάντας.
28Likewiseὁμοίωςasκαθὼςit came to passἐγένετοinἐνtheταῖςdaysἡμέραιςof LotΛώτ·they were eatingἤσθιον,they were drinkingἔπινον,they were buyingἠγόραζον,they were sellingἐπώλουν,they were plantingἐφύτευον,they were buildingᾠκοδόμουν·
29in thatᾗthenδὲdayἡμέρᾳwent outἐξῆλθενLotΛὼτfromἀπὸSodomΣοδόμων,it rainedἔβρεξενfireπῦρandκαὶbrimstoneθεῖονfromἀπ’heavenοὐρανοῦandκαὶdestroyedἀπώλεσενallπάντας.
30Accordingκατὰτὰto theseαὐτὰwill it beἔσταιin thatᾗdayἡμέρᾳtheὁSonυἱὸςτοῦof Manἀνθρώπουis revealedἀποκαλύπτεται.
31Inἐνthatἐκείνῃτῇdayἡμέρᾳthe [one who]ὃςwill beἔσταιonἐπὶtheτοῦhousetopδώματοςandκαὶtheτὰgoodsσκεύηof himαὐτοῦinἐνtheτῇhouseοἰκίᾳ,notμὴlet him come downκαταβάτωto take awayἆραιthemαὐτά,andκαὶthe [one]ὁinἐν[the] fieldἀγρῷlikewiseὁμοίωςnotμὴlet him returnἐπιστρεψάτωtoεἰςthe thingsτὰbehindὀπίσω.
32Rememberμνημονεύετεtheτῆςwifeγυναικὸςof LotΛώτ.
33Whoeverὃςifἐὰνmay seekζητήσῃtheτὴνlifeψυχὴνof himαὐτοῦto saveπεριποιήσασθαιwill loseἀπολέσειitαὐτήν,whoeverὃςandδ’ἂνwill lose [it]ἀπολέσῃwill preserveζῳογονήσειitαὐτήν.
34I sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,in thatταύτῃτῇnightνυκτὶthere will beἔσονταιtwoδύοuponἐπὶbedκλίνηςoneμιᾶς,Theὁoneεἷςwill be takenπαραλημφθήσεταιandκαὶtheὁotherἕτεροςwill be leftἀφεθήσεται·
35There will beἔσονταιtwo [women]δύοgrindingἀλήθουσαιatἐπὶtheτὸsame [place]αὐτό,Theἡoneμίαwill be takenπαραλημφθήσεταιἡandδὲthe otherἑτέραwill be leftἀφεθήσεται.
37Andκαὶansweringἀποκριθέντεςthey sayλέγουσινto Himαὐτῷ·WhereΠοῦ,Lordκύριε;ὁAndδὲHe saidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·WhereὍπουtheτὸbody [is]σῶμα,thereἐκεῖalsoκαὶtheοἱvulturesἀετοὶwill be gathered togetherἐπισυναχθήσονται.
