Revelation 13

1AndΚαὶI sawεἶδονout ofἐκtheτῆςseaθαλάσσηςa beastθηρίονrisingἀναβαῖνον,havingἔχονhornsκέραταtenδέκαandκαὶheadsκεφαλὰςsevenἑπτά,andκαὶonἐπὶtheτῶνhornsκεράτωνof itαὐτοῦtenδέκαroyal crownsδιαδήματα,andκαὶuponἐπὶtheτὰςheadsκεφαλὰςof itαὐτοῦnamesὀνόματαof blasphemyβλασφημίας.

2AndκαὶtheτὸbeastθηρίονthatὃI sawεἶδονwasἦνlikeὅμοιονa leopardπαρδάλει,andκαὶtheοἱfeetπόδεςof itαὐτοῦlikeὡςa bear’sἄρκου,andκαὶtheτὸmouthστόμαof itαὐτοῦlikeὡς[the] mouthστόμαof a lionλέοντος.Andκαὶgaveἔδωκενto itαὐτῷtheὁdragonδράκωνtheτὴνpowerδύναμινof himαὐτοῦandκαὶtheτὸνthroneθρόνονof himαὐτοῦandκαὶauthorityἐξουσίανgreatμεγάλην.

3Andκαὶoneμίανofἐκtheτῶνheadsκεφαλῶνof itαὐτοῦ[was] asὡςhaving been slainἐσφαγμένηνtoεἰςdeathθάνατον,Andκαὶtheἡwoundπληγὴofτοῦdeathθανάτουof itαὐτοῦwas healedἐθεραπεύθη.andκαὶmarveledἐθαυμάσθηallὅληtheἡearthγῆafterὀπίσωtheτοῦbeastθηρίου,

4Andκαὶthey worshipedπροσεκύνησανtheτῷdragonδράκοντιwhoὅτιhad givenἔδωκεντὴνauthorityἐξουσίανto theτῷbeastθηρίῳ,andκαὶthey worshipedπροσεκύνησανtheτῷbeastθηρίῳsayingλέγοντες·WhoΤίς[is] likeὅμοιοςtheτῷbeastθηρίῳ,Andκαὶwhoτίςis ableδύναταιto make warπολεμῆσαιagainstμετ’itαὐτοῦ;

5AndΚαὶwas givenἐδόθηto itαὐτῷa mouthστόμαspeakingλαλοῦνgreat thingsμεγάλαandκαὶblasphemyβλασφημίας,andκαὶwas givenἐδόθηto itαὐτῷauthorityἐξουσίαto actποιῆσαιmonthsμῆναςfortyτεσσεράκονταtwoδύο.

6Andκαὶit openedἤνοιξεtheτὸmouthστόμαof itαὐτοῦuntoεἰςblasphemiesβλασφημίαςagainstπρὸςτὸνGodθεόν,to blasphemeβλασφημῆσαιtheτὸnameὄνομαof Himαὐτοῦandκαὶtheτὴνtabernacleσκηνὴνof Himαὐτοῦ,thoseτοὺςinἐντῷheavenοὐρανῷdwellingσκηνοῦντας.

7Andκαὶthere was givenἐδόθηto itαὐτῷto makeποιῆσαιwarπόλεμονwithμετὰtheτῶνsaintsἁγίωνandκαὶto overcomeνικῆσαιthemαὐτούς,Andκαὶwas givenἐδόθηto itαὐτῷauthorityἐξουσίαoverἐπὶeveryπᾶσανtribeφυλὴνandκαὶpeopleλαὸνandκαὶtongueγλῶσσανandκαὶnationἔθνος.

8Andκαὶwill worshipπροσκυνήσουσινitαὐτὸνallπάντεςοἱdwellingκατοικοῦντεςonἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆς,of whomοὗnotοὐhave been writtenγέγραπταιtheτὸnamesὄνομαof themαὐτοῦinἐνtheτῷbookβιβλίῳτῆςof lifeζωῆςof theτοῦLambἀρνίουτοῦhaving been slainἐσφαγμένουfromἀπὸ[the] foundingκαταβολῆςof [the] worldκόσμου.

9IfΕἴanyoneτιςhasἔχειan earοὖςlet him hearἀκουσάτω.

10Ifεἴanyone [is to go]τιςintoεἰςcaptivityαἰχμαλωσίαν,intoεἰςcaptivityαἰχμαλωσίανhe goesὑπάγει·Ifεἴanyoneτιςwithἐν[the] swordμαχαίρῃkilledἀποκτανθῆναιhimαὐτὸνbyἐν[the] swordμαχαίρῃto be killedἀποκτανθῆναι.Hereὧδέisἐστινtheἡenduranceὑπομονὴandκαὶtheἡfaithπίστιςof theτῶνsaintsἁγίων.

11AndΚαὶI sawεἶδονanotherἄλλοbeastθηρίονrisingἀναβαῖνονout ofἐκtheτῆςearthγῆς,andκαὶit hadεἶχενhornsκέραταtwoδύοlikeὅμοιαa lambἀρνίῳ,andκαὶit was speakingἐλάλειlikeὡςa dragonδράκων.

12Andκαὶtheτὴνauthorityἐξουσίανof theτοῦfirstπρώτουbeastθηρίουallπᾶσανit exercisesποιεῖon behalfἐνώπιονof itαὐτοῦ.andκαὶcausesποιεῖtheτὴνearthγῆνandκαὶthoseτοὺςinἐνitαὐτῇdwellingκατοικοῦνταςthatἵναthey will worshipπροσκυνήσουσινtheτὸbeastθηρίοντὸfirstπρῶτον,of whomοὗhad been healedἐθεραπεύθηtheἡwoundπληγὴτοῦfatalθανάτουof itαὐτοῦ.

13Andκαὶit worksποιεῖsignsσημεῖαgreatμεγάλα,so thatἵναevenκαὶfireπῦρit should causeποιῇout ofἐκτοῦheavenοὐρανοῦto come downκαταβαίνεινtoεἰςtheτὴνearthγῆνin the presenceἐνώπιοντῶνof menἀνθρώπων.

14Andκαὶit deceivesπλανᾷthoseτοὺςdwellingκατοικοῦνταςonἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆςby reason ofδιὰtheτὰsignsσημεῖαthatἃwere givenἐδόθηto itαὐτῷto performποιῆσαιbeforeἐνώπιονtheτοῦbeastθηρίου,tellingλέγωνthoseτοῖςdwellingκατοικοῦσινonἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆςto makeποιῆσαιan imageεἰκόναto theτῷbeastθηρίῳ,thatὃςhasἔχειtheτὴνwoundπληγὴνof theτῆςswordμαχαίρηςandκαὶhas livedἔζησεν.

15Andκαὶthere was givenἐδόθηto itαὐτῷto giveδοῦναιbreathπνεῦμαto theτῇimageεἰκόνιof theτοῦbeastθηρίου,so thatἵναalsoκαὶshould speakλαλήσῃtheἡimageεἰκὼνof theτοῦbeastθηρίουandκαὶshould causeποιήσῃthatἵναas many asὅσοιifἐὰνnotμὴwould worshipπροσκυνήσωσινtheτῇimageεἰκόνιof theτοῦbeastθηρίουwould be killedἀποκτανθῶσιν.

16Andκαὶit causesποιεῖallπάντας,theτοὺςsmallμικροὺςandκαὶtheτοὺςgreatμεγάλους,andκαὶtheτοὺςrichπλουσίουςandκαὶtheτοὺςpoorπτωχούς,andκαὶtheτοὺςfreeἐλευθέρουςandκαὶtheτοὺςservantsδούλους,thatἵναit should giveδῶσινthemαὐτοῖςa markχάραγμαonἐπὶtheτῆςhandχειρὸςof themαὐτῶντῆςrightδεξιᾶςorἢonἐπὶtheτὸforeheadμέτωπονof themαὐτῶν,

17andκαὶthatἵναnoμήoneτιςshould be ableδύνηταιto buyἀγοράσαιorἢto sellπωλῆσαιifεἰnotμὴthe [one]ὁhavingἔχωνtheτὸmarkχάραγμα,theτὸnameὄνομαof theτοῦbeastθηρίουorἢtheτὸνnumberἀριθμὸνof theτοῦnameὀνόματοςof itαὐτοῦ.

18Hereὧδεtheἡwisdomσοφίαisἐστίν·The [one]ὁhavingἔχωνunderstandingνοῦνlet him countψηφισάτωtheτὸνnumberἀριθμὸνof theτοῦbeastθηρίου,numberἀριθμὸςforγὰρa man’sἀνθρώπουit isἐστίν·andκαὶtheὁnumber [is]ἀριθμὸςof itαὐτοῦsix hundredἑξακόσιοιsixtyἑξήκονταsixἕξ.
