John 2

1AndΚαὶon theτῇdayἡμέρᾳτῇthirdτρίτῃa weddingγάμοςtook placeἐγένετοinἐνCanaΚανὰτῆςof GalileeΓαλιλαίας,andκαὶwasἦνtheἡmotherμήτηρτοῦof JesusἸησοῦthereἐκεῖ·

2Was invitedἐκλήθηthenδὲalsoκαὶὁJesusἸησοῦςandκαὶtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof Himαὐτοῦtoεἰςtheτὸνweddingγάμον.

3Andκαὶhaving been deficientὑστερήσαντοςof wineοἴνουsaysλέγειtheἡmotherμήτηρτοῦof JesusἸησοῦtoπρὸςHimαὐτόν·WineΟἶνονnotοὐκthey haveἔχουσιν.

4Andκαὶsaysλέγειto herαὐτῇὁJesusἸησοῦς·WhatΤίto Meἐμοὶandκαὶto youσοί,womanγύναι;Not yetοὔπωis comeἥκειtheἡhourὥραof Meμου.

5Saysλέγειtheἡmotherμήτηρof Himαὐτοῦto theτοῖςservantsδιακόνοις·WhateverὍanyhowτιἂνHe may sayλέγῃto youὑμῖνdoποιήσατε.

6There wereἦσανnowδὲthereἐκεῖof stoneλίθιναιwater jarsὑδρίαιsixἓξaccording toκατὰtheτὸνpurificationκαθαρισμὸνof theτῶνJewsἸουδαίωνstandingκείμεναι,having spaceχωροῦσαιforἀνὰmetretaeμετρητὰςtwoδύοorἢthreeτρεῖς.

7Saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖςὁJesusἸησοῦς·FillΓεμίσατεtheτὰςjarsὑδρίαςwith waterὕδατος·Andκαὶthey filledἐγέμισανthemαὐτὰςup toἕως[the] brimἄνω.

8AndκαὶHe saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·Draw outἈντλήσατεnowνῦνandκαὶcarryφέρετεto theτῷmaster of the feastἀρχιτρικλίνῳ·οἱAndδὲthey carried [it]ἤνεγκαν.

9Whenὡςthenδὲhad tastedἐγεύσατοtheὁmaster of the feastἀρχιτρίκλινοςtheτὸwaterὕδωρwineοἶνονhaving becomeγεγενημένον,andκαὶnotοὐκhe knewᾔδειfrom whereπόθενit isἐστίν,theοἱhoweverδὲservantsδιάκονοιknewᾔδεισανοἱhaving drawnἠντληκότεςtheτὸwaterὕδωρ,callsφωνεῖtheτὸνbridegroomνυμφίονtheὁmaster of the feastἀρχιτρίκλινος

10andκαὶsaysλέγειto himαὐτῷ·EveryΠᾶςmanἄνθρωποςfirstπρῶτονtheτὸνgoodκαλὸνwineοἶνονsets outτίθησιν,andκαὶwhenὅτανthey might have drunk freelyμεθυσθῶσινtheτὸνinferiorἐλάσσω·youσὺhave keptτετήρηκαςtheτὸνgoodκαλὸνwineοἶνονuntilἕωςnowἄρτι.

11Thisταύτηνdidἐποίησεν[the] beginningἀρχὴνof theτῶνsignsσημείωνὁJesusἸησοῦςinἐνCanaΚανὰτῆςof GalileeΓαλιλαίαςandκαὶHe revealedἐφανέρωσενtheτὴνgloryδόξανof Himαὐτοῦ,andκαὶbelievedἐπίστευσανinεἰςHimαὐτὸνtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof Himαὐτοῦ.

12AfterΜετὰthisτοῦτοHe went downκατέβηtoεἰςCapernaumΚαφαρναοὺμHeαὐτὸςandκαὶtheἡmotherμήτηρof Himαὐτοῦandκαὶtheοἱbrothersἀδελφοὶandκαὶtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof Himαὐτοῦ,andκαὶthereἐκεῖthey stayedἔμεινανnotοὐmanyπολλὰςdaysἡμέρας.

13AndΚαὶnearἐγγὺςwasἦνtheτὸPassoverπάσχαof theτῶνJewsἸουδαίων,andκαὶwent upἀνέβηtoεἰςJerusalemἹεροσόλυμαὁJesusἸησοῦς.

14AndκαὶHe foundεὗρενinἐνtheτῷtempleἱερῷthoseτοὺςsellingπωλοῦνταςoxenβόαςandκαὶsheepπρόβαταandκαὶdovesπεριστερὰςandκαὶtheτοὺςmoney changersκερματιστὰςsittingκαθημένους,

15Andκαὶhaving madeποιήσαςa whipφραγέλλιονofἐκcordsσχοινίωνallπάνταςHe drove outἐξέβαλενfromἐκtheτοῦtempleἱεροῦτάbothτεsheepπρόβαταandκαὶτοὺςoxenβόας,andκαὶof theτῶνmoney changersκολλυβιστῶνHe poured outἐξέχεενtheτὰcoinsκέρματαandκαὶtheτὰςtablesτραπέζαςhe overturned.ἀνέστρεψεν,

16Andκαὶto thoseτοῖςτὰςdovesπεριστερὰςsellingπωλοῦσινHe saidεἶπεν·TakeἌρατεthese thingsταῦταfrom hereἐντεῦθεν,notμὴmakeποιεῖτεtheτὸνhouseοἶκονof theτοῦFatherπατρόςof Meμουa houseοἶκονof tradeἐμπορίου.

17Rememberedἐμνήσθησανtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof Himαὐτοῦthatὅτιwrittenγεγραμμένονit isἐστίν·TheὉzealζῆλοςof theτοῦhouseοἴκουof Youσουwill consumeκαταφάγεταίMeμε.

18AnsweredἀπεκρίθησανthereforeοὖνtheοἱJewsἸουδαῖοιandκαὶsaidεἶπανto Himαὐτῷ·WhatΤίsignσημεῖονshow Youδεικνύειςto usἡμῖν,thatὅτιthese thingsταῦταYou doποιεῖς;

19AnsweredἀπεκρίθηJesusἸησοῦςandκαὶsaidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·DestroyΛύσατεtheτὸνtempleναὸνthisτοῦτονandκαὶinἐνthreeτρισὶνdaysἡμέραιςI will raise upἐγερῶitαὐτόν.

20SaidεἶπανthereforeοὖνtheοἱJewsἸουδαῖοι·FortyΤεσσεράκονταandκαὶsixἓξyearsἔτεσινwas builtοἰκοδομήθηtheὁtempleναὸςthisοὗτος,andκαὶYouσὺinἐνthreeτρισὶνdaysἡμέραιςwill raise upἐγερεῖςitαὐτόν;

21Heἐκεῖνοςhoweverδὲwas speakingἔλεγενconcerningπερὶtheτοῦtempleναοῦof theτοῦbodyσώματοςof Himαὐτοῦ.

22WhenὅτεthereforeοὖνHe was raised upἠγέρθηout fromἐκ[the] deadνεκρῶν,rememberedἐμνήσθησανtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof HimαὐτοῦthatὅτιthisτοῦτοHe had saidἔλεγεν,andκαὶthey believedἐπίστευσανtheτῇScriptureγραφῇandκαὶtheτῷwordλόγῳthatὃνhad spokenεἶπενὁJesusἸησοῦς.

23WhenὩςthenδὲHe wasἦνinἐντοῖςJerusalemἹεροσολύμοιςinἐνtheτῷPassoverπάσχαinἐνtheτῇFeastἑορτῇ,manyπολλοὶbelievedἐπίστευσανinεἰςtheτὸnameὄνομαof Himαὐτοῦ,beholdingθεωροῦντεςof HimαὐτοῦtheτὰsignsσημεῖαthatἃHe was doingἐποίει·

24On His partαὐτὸςhoweverδὲJesusἸησοῦςnotοὐκdid entrustἐπίστευενHimselfαὑτὸνto themαὐτοῖςbecause ofδιὰτὸHisαὐτὸνknowingγινώσκεινall [men]πάντας

25andκαὶbecauseὅτιnoοὐneedχρείανHe hadεἶχενthatἵναanyoneτιςshould testifyμαρτυρήσῃconcerningπερὶtheτοῦmanἀνθρώπου,He Himselfαὐτὸςforγὰρknewἐγίνωσκενwhatτίwasἦνinἐνtheτῷmanἀνθρώπῳ.
