John 21

1AfterΜετὰthese thingsταῦταrevealedἐφανέρωσενHimselfἑαυτὸνagainπάλινὁJesusἸησοῦςto theτοῖςdisciplesμαθηταῖςatἐπὶtheτῆςseaθαλάσσηςτῆςof TiberiasΤιβεριάδος·He revealed [Himself]ἐφανέρωσενnowδὲin this wayοὕτως.

2They wereἦσανtogetherὁμοῦSimonΣίμωνPeterΠέτροςandκαὶThomasΘωμᾶςὁcalledλεγόμενοςDidymusΔίδυμοςandκαὶNathanaelΝαθαναὴλὁfromἀπὸCanaΚανὰτῆςof GalileeΓαλιλαίαςandκαὶthe [sons]οἱτοῦof ZebedeeΖεβεδαίουandκαὶothersἄλλοιofἐκtheτῶνdisciplesμαθητῶνHisαὐτοῦtwoδύο.

3Saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖςSimonΣίμωνPeterΠέτρος·I am goingὙπάγωto fishἁλιεύειν·They sayλέγουσινto himαὐτῷ·ComeἘρχόμεθαalsoκαὶweἡμεῖςwithσὺνyouσοί.They went forthἐξῆλθονandκαὶwent upἐνέβησανintoεἰςtheτὸboatπλοῖον,andκαὶduringἐνthatἐκείνῃτῇnightνυκτὶthey caughtἐπίασανnothingοὐδέν.

4MorningΠρωΐαςnowδὲalreadyἤδηcameγενομένηςstoodἔστηJesusἸησοῦςonεἰςtheτὸνshoreαἰγιαλόν·notοὐhoweverμέντοιknewᾔδεισανtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶthatὅτιJesusἸησοῦςit isἐστιν.

5Saysλέγειthereforeοὖνto themαὐτοῖςὁJesusἸησοῦς·ChildrenΠαιδία,notμήanyτιfishπροσφάγιονhave youἔχετε;They answeredἀπεκρίθησανHimαὐτῷ·NoΟὔ.

6ὁAndδὲHe saidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·CastΒάλετεtoεἰςtheτὰrightδεξιὰsideμέρηof theτοῦboatπλοίουtheτὸnetδίκτυον,andκαὶyou will find [some]εὑρήσετε.They castἔβαλονthereforeοὖν,andκαὶnotοὐκέτιitαὐτὸto haul inἑλκύσαιwere they ableἴσχυονfromἀπὸtheτοῦmultitudeπλήθουςof theτῶνfishἰχθύων.

7SaysλέγειthereforeοὖνtheὁdiscipleμαθητὴςthatἐκεῖνοςwhomὃνlovedἠγάπαὁJesusἸησοῦςτῷto PeterΠέτρῳ·TheὉLordκύριόςit isἐστιν.SimonΣίμωνthereforeοὖνPeterΠέτρος,having heardἀκούσαςthatὅτιtheὁLordκύριόςit isἐστιν,theτὸνouter garmentἐπενδύτηνput onδιεζώσατο,he wasἦνforγὰρnakedγυμνός,andκαὶhe castἔβαλενhimselfἑαυτὸνintoεἰςtheτὴνseaθάλασσαν·

8οἱAndδὲthe otherἄλλοιdisciplesμαθηταὶin theτῷboatπλοιαρίῳcameἦλθον,notοὐforγὰρwere theyἦσανfarμακρὰνfromἀπὸtheτῆςlandγῆςbutἀλλὰaboutὡςawayἀπὸcubitsπηχῶνtwo hundredδιακοσίων,draggingσύροντεςtheτὸnetδίκτυονwith theτῶνfishἰχθύων.

9WhenὩςthereforeοὖνthey got outἀπέβησανontoεἰςtheτὴνlandγῆνthey seeβλέπουσινa fire of coalsἀνθρακιὰνlyingκειμένηνandκαὶfishὀψάριονlying on [it]ἐπικείμενονandκαὶbreadἄρτον.

10Saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖςὁJesusἸησοῦς·BringἘνέγκατε[some] ofἀπὸtheτῶνfishὀψαρίωνthatὧνyou have caughtἐπιάσατεnowνῦν.

11Went upἀνέβηsoοὖνSimonΣίμωνPeterΠέτροςandκαὶdrewεἵλκυσενtheτὸnetδίκτυονtoεἰςtheτὴνlandγῆνfullμεστὸνof fishἰχθύωνlargeμεγάλωνa hundredἑκατὸνfiftyπεντήκονταthreeτριῶν·althoughκαὶso manyτοσούτωνthere areὄντωνnotοὐκwas tornἐσχίσθηtheτὸnetδίκτυον.

12Saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖςὁJesusἸησοῦς·ComeΔεῦτεhave breakfastἀριστήσατε.Noneοὐδεὶςnowδὲdaredἐτόλμαof theτῶνdisciplesμαθητῶνto askἐξετάσαιHimαὐτόν·YouΣὺwhoτίςareεἶ;knowingεἰδότεςthatὅτιtheὁLordκύριόςit isἐστιν.

13ComesἔρχεταιὁJesusἸησοῦςandκαὶtakesλαμβάνειtheτὸνbreadἄρτονandκαὶgives [it]δίδωσινto themαὐτοῖς,andκαὶtheτὸfishὀψάριονlikewiseὁμοίως.

14This [is]τοῦτοnowἤδηthe third timeτρίτονwas revealedἐφανερώθηὁJesusἸησοῦςto theτοῖςdisciplesμαθηταῖςhaving been raisedἐγερθεὶςout fromἐκ[the] deadνεκρῶν.

15WhenὍτεthereforeοὖνthey had dinedἠρίστησανsaysλέγειτῷto SimonΣίμωνιPeterΠέτρῳὁJesusἸησοῦς·SimonΣίμων[son] of JohnἸωάννου,love youἀγαπᾷςMeμεmoreπλέονthan theseτούτων;He saysλέγειto Himαὐτῷ·YesΝαί,Lordκύριε,YouσὺknowοἶδαςthatὅτιI dearly loveφιλῶYouσε.He saysλέγειto himαὐτῷ·FeedΒόσκεtheτὰlambsἀρνίαof Meμου.

16He saysλέγειto himαὐτῷagainπάλινa second timeδεύτερον·SimonΣίμων[son] of JohnἸωάννου,love youἀγαπᾷςMeμε;He saysλέγειto Himαὐτῷ·YesΝαί,Lordκύριε,YouσὺknowοἶδαςthatὅτιI dearly loveφιλῶYouσε.He saysλέγειto himαὐτῷ·ShepherdΠοίμαινεtheτὰsheepπρόβατάof Meμου.

17He saysλέγειto himαὐτῷtheτὸthird timeτρίτον·SimonΣίμων[son] of JohnἸωάννου,do you dearly loveφιλεῖςMeμε;Was grievedἐλυπήθηὁPeterΠέτροςbecauseὅτιHe saidεἶπενto himαὐτῷtheτὸthird timeτρίτον·Do you dearly loveΦιλεῖςMeμε;Andκαὶhe saidεἶπενto Himαὐτῷ·LordΚύριε,all thingsπάνταYouσὺknowοἶδας,YouσὺknowγινώσκειςthatὅτιI dearly loveφιλῶYouσε.Saysλέγειto himαὐτῷὁJesusἸησοῦς·FeedΒόσκεtheτὰsheepπρόβατάof Meμου.

18TrulyἀμὴνtrulyἀμὴνI sayλέγωto youσοι,Whenὅτεyou wereἦςyoungerνεώτερος,you dressedἐζώννυεςyourselfσεαυτὸνandκαὶwalkedπεριεπάτειςwhereὅπουyou desiredἤθελες·whenὅτανhoweverδὲyou shall be oldγηράσῃς,you will stretch forthἐκτενεῖςtheτὰςhandsχεῖράςof youσου,andκαὶanotherἄλλοςyouσεwill dressζώσειandκαὶwill bring [you]οἴσειwhereὅπουnotοὐyou do desireθέλεις.

19ThisτοῦτοnowδὲHe saidεἶπενsignifyingσημαίνωνby whatποίῳdeathθανάτῳhe will glorifyδοξάσειτὸνGodθεόν.Andκαὶthisτοῦτοhaving saidεἰπὼνHe saysλέγειto himαὐτῷ·FollowἈκολούθειMeμοι.

20Having turnedἘπιστραφεὶςὁPeterΠέτροςseesβλέπειtheτὸνdiscipleμαθητὴνwhomὃνlovedἠγάπαὁJesusἸησοῦςfollowingἀκολουθοῦντα,whoὃςalsoκαὶhad reclinedἀνέπεσενatἐνtheτῷsupperδείπνῳonἐπὶtheτὸbosomστῆθοςof Himαὐτοῦandκαὶsaidεἶπεν·LordΚύριε,whoτίςis itἐστινwhoὁis betrayingπαραδιδούςYouσε;

21Himτοῦτονthereforeοὖνhaving seenἰδὼνὁPeterΠέτροςsaysλέγειτῷto JesusἸησοῦ·LordΚύριε,this manοὗτοςandδὲwhat aboutτί;

22Saysλέγειto himαὐτῷὁJesusἸησοῦς·IfἘὰνhimαὐτὸνI desireθέλωto remainμένεινuntilἕωςI comeἔρχομαι,what [is it]τίtoπρὸςyouσέ;YouσύMeμοιfollowἀκολούθει.

23Went outἐξῆλθενthereforeοὖνthisοὗτοςὁsayingλόγοςamongεἰςtheτοὺςbrothersἀδελφοὺςthatὅτιtheὁdiscipleμαθητὴςthatἐκεῖνοςnotοὐκdiesἀποθνῄσκει.Notοὐκsaidεἶπενhoweverδὲto himαὐτῷὁJesusἸησοῦςthatὅτιnotοὐκhe diesἀποθνῄσκειbutἀλλ’·IfἘὰνhimαὐτὸνI desireθέλωto remainμένεινuntilἕωςI comeἔρχομαι,what [is it]τίtoπρὸςyouσέ;

24ThisΟὗτόςisἐστινtheὁdiscipleμαθητὴςὁbearing witnessμαρτυρῶνconcerningπερὶthese thingsτούτωνandκαὶthe [one]ὁhaving writtenγράψαςthese thingsταῦτα,andκαὶwe knowοἴδαμενthatὅτιtrueἀληθὴςof himαὐτοῦtheἡtestimonyμαρτυρίαisἐστίν.

25There areἔστινnowδὲalsoκαὶother thingsἄλλαmanyπολλὰthatἃdidἐποίησενὁJesusἸησοῦς,whichἅτιναifἐὰνthey should be writtenγράφηταιeveryκαθ’oneἕν,not evenοὐδ’itselfαὐτὸνI supposeοἶμαιtheτὸνworldκόσμονto have spaceχωρήσεινfor theτὰto be writtenγραφόμεναbooksβιβλία.
