Luke 10

1AfterΜετὰnowδὲthese thingsταῦταappointedἀνέδειξενtheὁLordκύριοςalsoκαὶothersἑτέρουςseventyἑβδομήκοντα*δύοandκαὶsentἀπέστειλενthemαὐτοὺςinἀνὰtwo [by]δύοtwoδύοbeforeπρὸ[the] faceπροσώπουof Himselfαὐτοῦintoεἰςeveryπᾶσανcityπόλινandκαὶplaceτόπονwhereοὗwas aboutἤμελλενHe Himselfαὐτὸςto goἔρχεσθαι.

2He was sayingἔλεγενthenδὲtoπρὸςthemαὐτούς·TheὉindeedμὲνharvest [is]θερισμὸςplentifulπολύς,οἱbutδὲthe workmenἐργάται[are] fewὀλίγοι·Pray earnestly toδεήθητεthereforeοὖνtheτοῦLordκυρίουof theτοῦharvestθερισμοῦthatὅπωςworkmenἐργάταςHe may send outἐκβάλῃintoεἰςtheτὸνharvestθερισμὸνof Himαὐτοῦ.

3Goὑπάγετε·beholdἰδοὺI send forthἀποστέλλωyouὑμᾶςasὡςlambsἄρναςinἐν[the] midstμέσῳof wolvesλύκων.

4Neitherμὴcarryβαστάζετεpurseβαλλάντιον,norμὴbagπήραν,norμὴsandalsὑποδήματα,andκαὶno oneμηδέναonκατὰtheτὴνroadὁδὸνgreetἀσπάσησθε.

5Intoεἰςwhateverἣνnowδ’ἂνyou might enterεἰσέλθητεhouseοἰκίανfirstπρῶτονsayλέγετε·PeaceΕἰρήνηto theτῷhouseοἴκῳthisτούτῳ.

6Andκαὶifἐὰνisᾖthereἐκεῖa sonυἱὸςof peaceεἰρήνης,will restἐπαναπαήσεταιuponἐπ’himαὐτὸνtheἡpeaceεἰρήνηof youὑμῶν·ifεἰhoweverδὲnot soμήγε,toἐφ’youὑμᾶςit will returnἀνακάμψει.

7Inἐνthe sameαὐτῇnowδὲτῇhouseοἰκίᾳremainμένετε,eatingἐσθίοντεςandκαὶdrinkingπίνοντεςthe things [supplied]τὰbyπαρ’themαὐτῶν,worthy [is]ἄξιοςforγὰρtheὁworkmanἐργάτηςof theτοῦwagesμισθοῦof himαὐτοῦ.Notμὴmoveμεταβαίνετεfromἐξhouseοἰκίαςtoεἰςhouseοἰκίαν.

8Andκαὶintoεἰςwhateverἣνἂνcityπόλινyou might enterεἰσέρχησθεandκαὶthey receiveδέχωνταιyouὑμᾶς,eatἐσθίετεthe thingsτὰset beforeπαρατιθέμεναyouὑμῖν,

9Andκαὶhealθεραπεύετετοὺςinἐνitαὐτῇ[the] sickἀσθενεῖς,andκαὶsayλέγετεto themαὐτοῖς·Has drawn nearἬγγικενtoἐφ’youὑμᾶςtheἡkingdomβασιλείατοῦof Godθεοῦ.

10Intoεἰςwhateverἣνnowδ’ἂνcityπόλινyou might enterεἰσέλθητεandκαὶnotμὴthey receiveδέχωνταιyouὑμᾶς,having gone outἐξελθόντεςintoεἰςtheτὰςstreetsπλατείαςof itαὐτῆςsayεἴπατε·

11EvenΚαὶtheτὸνdustκονιορτὸντὸνhaving clungκολληθένταto usἡμῖνout ofἐκtheτῆςcityπόλεωςof youὑμῶνtoεἰςtheτοὺςfeetπόδαςwe wipe offἀπομασσόμεθαagainst youὑμῖν·yetπλὴνthisτοῦτοknowγινώσκετεthatὅτιhas drawn nearἤγγικενtheἡkingdomβασιλείατοῦof Godθεοῦ.

12I sayλέγωto youὑμῖνthatὅτιfor SodomΣοδόμοιςinἐνtheτῇdayἡμέρᾳthatἐκείνῃmore tolerableἀνεκτότερονit will beἔσταιthanἢtheτῇcityπόλειfor thatἐκείνῃ.

13WoeΟὐαίto youσοι,ChorazinΧοραζίν·Woeοὐαίto youσοι,BethsaidaΒηθσαϊδά·ForὅτιifεἰinἐνTyreΤύρῳandκαὶSidonΣιδῶνιhad taken placeἐγενήθησανtheαἱmiraclesδυνάμειςαἱhaving taken placeγενόμεναιinἐνyouὑμῖν,long agoπάλαιἂνinἐνsackclothσάκκῳandκαὶashesσποδῷsittingκαθήμενοιthey would have repentedμετενόησαν.

14Butπλὴνfor TyreΤύρῳandκαὶSidonΣιδῶνιmore tolerableἀνεκτότερονwill it beἔσταιinἐνtheτῇjudgmentκρίσειthanἢfor youὑμῖν.

15Andκαὶyouσύ,CapernaumΚαφαρναούμ,notμὴtoἕωςheavenοὐρανοῦwill you be lifted upὑψωθήσῃ;toἕωςτοῦHadesᾅδουyou will be brought downκαταβιβασθήσῃ.

16The [one]ὉhearingἀκούωνyouὑμῶνMeἐμοῦhearsἀκούει,andκαὶthe [one]ὁrejectingἀθετῶνyouὑμᾶςMeἐμὲrejectsἀθετεῖ·the [one]ὁnowδὲMeἐμὲrejectingἀθετῶνrejectsἀθετεῖthe [One]τὸνhaving sentἀποστείλαντάMeμε.

17ReturnedὙπέστρεψανthenδὲtheοἱseventyἑβδομήκοντα*δύοwithμετὰjoyχαρᾶςsayingλέγοντες·LordΚύριε,evenκαὶtheτὰdemonsδαιμόνιαare subjectὑποτάσσεταιto usἡμῖνthroughἐνtheτῷnameὀνόματίof Youσου.

18He saidεἶπενthenδὲto themαὐτοῖς·I beheldἘθεώρουντὸνSatanΣατανᾶνasὡςlightningἀστραπὴνout ofἐκtheτοῦheavenοὐρανοῦhaving fallenπεσόντα.

19BeholdἰδοὺI giveδέδωκαyouὑμῖνtheτὴνauthorityἐξουσίαντοῦto treadπατεῖνuponἐπάνωserpentsὄφεωνandκαὶscorpionsσκορπίων,andκαὶuponἐπὶallπᾶσανtheτὴνpowerδύναμινof theτοῦenemyἐχθροῦ,andκαὶnothingοὐδὲνyouὑμᾶςnoοὐnotμὴwill injureἀδικήσῃ.

20Yetπλὴνinἐνthisτούτῳnotμὴrejoiceχαίρετεthatὅτιtheτὰspiritsπνεύματαto youὑμῖνare subjectedὑποτάσσεται,rejoiceχαίρετεhoweverδὲthatὅτιtheτὰnamesὀνόματαof youὑμῶνare writtenἐγγέγραπταιinἐνtheτοῖςheavensοὐρανοῖς.

21InἘνthe sameαὐτῇτῇhourὥρᾳHe rejoicedἠγαλλιάσατοtheτῷSpiritπνεύματιτῷHolyἁγίῳandκαὶsaidεἶπεν·I fully consentἘξομολογοῦμαίto Youσοι,FatherπάτερLordκύριεof theτοῦheavenοὐρανοῦandκαὶof theτῆςearthγῆς,thatὅτιYou have hiddenἀπέκρυψαςthese thingsταῦταfromἀπὸwiseσοφῶνandκαὶintelligentσυνετῶν,andκαὶhave revealedἀπεκάλυψαςthemαὐτὰto little childrenνηπίοις·yesναί,ὁFatherπατήρ,forὅτιthusοὕτωςwell-pleasingεὐδοκίαwas itἐγένετοbeforeἔμπροσθένYouσου.

22All thingsπάνταto Meμοιhave been deliveredπαρεδόθηbyὑπὸtheτοῦFatherπατρόςof Meμου,Andκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςknowsγινώσκειwhoτίςisἐστινtheὁSonυἱὸςifεἰnotμὴtheὁFatherπατήρ,andκαὶwhoτίςisἐστινtheὁFatherπατὴρifεἰnotμὴtheὁSonυἱὸςandκαὶto whomᾧifἐὰνmight resolveβούληταιtheὁSonυἱὸςto reveal [Him]ἀποκαλύψαι.

23AndΚαὶhaving turnedστραφεὶςtoπρὸςtheτοὺςdisciplesμαθητὰςinκατ’privateἰδίανHe saidεἶπεν·Blessed [are]Μακάριοιtheοἱeyesὀφθαλμοὶοἱseeingβλέποντεςwhatἃyou seeβλέπετε.

24I sayλέγωforγὰρto youὑμῖνthatὅτιmanyπολλοὶprophetsπροφῆταιandκαὶkingsβασιλεῖςdesiredἠθέλησανto seeἰδεῖνwhatἃyouὑμεῖςseeβλέπετεandκαὶnotοὐκsawεἶδαν,andκαὶto hearἀκοῦσαιwhatἃyou hearἀκούετεandκαὶnotοὐκheardἤκουσαν.

25AndΚαὶbeholdἰδοὺa lawyerνομικόςcertainτιςstood upἀνέστηtestingἐκπειράζωνHimαὐτὸνsayingλέγων·TeacherΔιδάσκαλε,whatτίhaving doneποιήσαςlifeζωὴνeternalαἰώνιονwill I inheritκληρονομήσω;

26ὁAndδὲHe saidεἶπενtoπρὸςhimαὐτόν·InἘνtheτῷlawνόμῳwhatτίhas been writtenγέγραπται;Howπῶςread youἀναγινώσκεις;

27ὁAndδὲansweringἀποκριθεὶςhe saidεἶπεν·You shall loveἈγαπήσεις[the] LordκύριονtheτὸνGodθεόνof youσουwithἐξallὅληςtheτῆςheartκαρδίαςof youσουandκαὶwithἐνallὅλῃtheτῇsoulψυχῇof youσουandκαὶwithἐνallὅλῃtheτῇstrengthἰσχύϊof youσουandκαὶwithἐνallὅλῃtheτῇmindδιανοίᾳof youσου,andκαὶTheτὸνneighborπλησίονof youσουasὡςyourselfσεαυτόν.

28He saidεἶπενthenδὲto himαὐτῷ·CorrectlyὈρθῶςyou have answeredἀπεκρίθης·Thisτοῦτοdoποίειandκαὶyou will liveζήσῃ.

29ὉButδὲdesiringθέλωνto justifyδικαιῶσαιhimselfἑαυτὸνhe saidεἶπενtoπρὸςτὸνJesusἸησοῦν·AndΚαὶwhoτίςisἐστίνmyμουneighborπλησίον;

30Having taken [it] upὑπολαβὼνδὲὁJesusἸησοῦςsaidεἶπεν·A manἌνθρωπόςcertainτιςwas going downκατέβαινενfromἀπὸJerusalemἸερουσαλὴμtoεἰςJerichoἸεριχὼandκαὶrobbersλῃσταῖςfell amongπεριέπεσεν,whoοἳbothκαὶhaving strippedἐκδύσαντεςhimαὐτὸνandκαὶwoundsπληγὰςhaving inflictedἐπιθέντεςwent awayἀπῆλθονhaving left [him]ἀφέντεςhalf deadἡμιθανῆ.

31Byκατὰchanceσυγκυρίανnowδὲa priestἱερεύςcertainτιςwas going downκατέβαινενonἐνtheτῇroadὁδῷthatἐκείνῃ,andκαὶhaving seenἰδὼνhimαὐτὸνhe passed by on the opposite sideἀντιπαρῆλθεν·

32Likewiseὁμοίωςnowδὲalsoκαὶa LeviteΛευίτηςtoκατὰtheτὸνspotτόπονhaving comeἐλθὼνandκαὶhaving seen [him]ἰδὼνpassed by on the opposite sideἀντιπαρῆλθεν.

33A SamaritanΣαμαρίτηςhoweverδέoneτιςjourneyingὁδεύωνcameἦλθενtoκατ’himαὐτὸνandκαὶhaving seenἰδὼνwas moved with compassionἐσπλαγχνίσθη,

34andκαὶhaving approachedπροσελθὼνhe bound upκατέδησενtheτὰwoundsτραύματαof himαὐτοῦpouring onἐπιχέωνoilἔλαιονandκαὶwineοἶνον,having putἐπιβιβάσαςthenδὲhimαὐτὸνonἐπὶtheτὸownἴδιονbeastκτῆνοςhe broughtἤγαγενhimαὐτὸνtoεἰςan innπανδοχεῖονandκαὶtook careἐπεμελήθηof himαὐτοῦ.

35Andκαὶonἐπὶtheτὴνnext dayαὔριονhaving taken outἐκβαλὼνtwoδύοdenariiδηνάριαhe gave [them]ἔδωκενto theτῷinnkeeperπανδοχεῖandκαὶsaidεἶπεν·Take careἘπιμελήθητιof himαὐτοῦ,andκαὶwhateverὅmoreτιἂνyou might expendπροσδαπανήσῃςof meἐγὼonἐντῷreturningἐπανέρχεσθαίIμεwill repayἀποδώσωyouσοι.

36Whichτίςof theseτούτωντῶνthreeτριῶνa neighborπλησίονseemsδοκεῖto youσοιto have beenγεγονέναιof the [one]τοῦhaving fallenἐμπεσόντοςamongεἰςtheτοὺςrobbersλῃστάς;

37ὁAndδὲhe saidεἶπεν·The [one]Ὁhaving shownποιήσαςτὸcompassionἔλεοςtowardμετ’himαὐτοῦ.Saidεἶπενthenδὲto himαὐτῷὁJesusἸησοῦς·GoΠορεύουandκαὶyouσὺdoποίειlikewiseὁμοίως.

38InἘνnowδὲtheτῷproceedingπορεύεσθαιof themαὐτοὺςHeαὐτὸςenteredεἰσῆλθενintoεἰςa villageκώμηνcertainτινά·a womanγυνὴnowδέcertainτιςnamedὀνόματιMarthaΜάρθαreceivedὑπεδέξατοHimαὐτὸν.

39Andκαὶsheτῇδεhadἦνa sisterἀδελφὴcalledκαλουμένηMaryΜαριάμ,whoἣalsoκαὶhaving sat downπαρακαθεσθεῖσαatπρὸςtheτοὺςfeetπόδαςof theτοῦJesusἸησοῦwas listening toἤκουενtheτὸνwordλόγονof Himαὐτοῦ.

40ἡButδὲMarthaΜάρθαwas distractedπεριεσπᾶτοaboutπερὶmuchπολλὴνserviceδιακονίαν·having come upἐπιστᾶσαnowδὲshe saidεἶπεν·LordΚύριε,notοὐis it concerningμέλειto Youσοιthatὅτιtheἡsisterἀδελφήof meμουaloneμόνηνmeμεhas leftκατέλειπενto serveδιακονεῖν;Speakεἰπὲthereforeοὖνto herαὐτῇthatἵναmeμοιshe might helpσυναντιλάβηται.

41Answeringἀποκριθεὶςnowδὲsaidεἶπενto herαὐτῇtheὁLordκύριος·MarthaΜάρθαMarthaΜάρθα,you are anxiousμεριμνᾷςandκαὶtroubledθορυβάζῃaboutπερὶmany thingsπολλά,

42one thingὀλίγωνhoweverδέisἐστινnecessaryχρείαandἢone thingἑνός·MaryΜαριὰμforγὰρtheτὴνgoodἀγαθὴνportionμερίδαhas chosenἐξελέξατοwhichἥτιςnotοὐκwill be taken away fromἀφαιρεθήσεταιherαὐτῆς.
