1AndΚαὶagainπάλινHe beganἤρξατοto teachδιδάσκεινbesideπαρὰtheτὴνseaθάλασσαν.Andκαὶwas gathered togetherσυνάγεταιtoπρὸςHimαὐτὸνa crowdὄχλοςgreatπλεῖστος,so thatὥστεHeαὐτὸνintoεἰςa boatπλοῖονhaving enteredἐμβάνταsatκαθῆσθαιinἐνtheτῇseaθαλάσσῃ,andκαὶallπᾶςtheὁcrowdὄχλοςclose toπρὸςtheτὴνseaθάλασσανonἐπὶtheτῆςlandγῆςwasἦσαν.

2AndκαὶHe began teachingἐδίδασκενthemαὐτοὺςinἐνparablesπαραβολαῖςmany thingsπολλάandκαὶHe was sayingἔλεγενto themαὐτοῖςinἐνtheτῇteachingδιδαχῇof Himαὐτοῦ·

3ListenἈκούετε.Beholdἰδοὺwent outἐξῆλθενthe [one]ὁsowingσπείρωνto sowσπεῖραι.

4Andκαὶit came to passἐγένετοasἐντῷhe sowedσπείρεινsomeὃμὲνfellἔπεσενalongπαρὰtheτὴνroadὁδόν,andκαὶcameἦλθενtheτὰbirdsπετεινὰandκαὶdevouredκατέφαγενitαὐτό.

5Andκαὶotherἄλλοfellἔπεσενuponἐπὶtheτὸrocky placeπετρῶδεςwhereὅπουnotοὐκit hadεἶχενsoilγῆνmuchπολλήν,andκαὶimmediatelyεὐθὺςit sprang upἐξανέτειλενbecause ofδιὰtheτὸnotμὴhavingἔχεινdepthβάθοςof soilγῆς·

6Andκαὶafterὅτεroseἀνέτειλενtheὁsunἥλιοςit was scorchedἐκαυματίσθηandκαὶbecause ofδιὰτὸnotμὴhavingἔχεινrootῥίζανit withered awayἐξηράνθη.

7Andκαὶotherἄλλοfellἔπεσενamongεἰςtheτὰςthornsἀκάνθας,andκαὶgrew upἀνέβησανtheαἱthornsἄκανθαιandκαὶchokedσυνέπνιξανitαὐτό,andκαὶfruitκαρπὸνnoοὐκit yieldedἔδωκεν.

8Andκαὶotherἄλλαfellἔπεσενintoεἰςtheτὴνsoilγῆντὴνgoodκαλήν,andκαὶbegan yieldingἐδίδουfruitκαρπὸνgrowing upἀναβαίνονταandκαὶincreasingαὐξανόμενα,andκαὶbearingἔφερενoneἓνthirtyfoldτριάκονταandκαὶoneἓνsixtyἑξήκονταandκαὶoneἓνa hundredἑκατόν.

9AndκαὶHe was sayingἔλεγεν·He whoὋςhasἔχειearsὦταto hearἀκούεινlet him hearἀκουέτω.

10AndΚαὶwhenὅτεHe wasἐγένετοwithκατὰaloneμόνας,began askingἠρώτωνHimαὐτὸνthoseοἱaroundπερὶHimαὐτὸνwithσὺνtheτοῖςTwelveδώδεκαabout theτὰςparableπαραβολάς.

11AndκαὶHe was sayingἔλεγενto themαὐτοῖς·To youὙμῖνtheτὸmysteryμυστήριονhas been givenδέδοταιof theτῆςkingdomβασιλείαςτοῦof Godθεοῦ·To thoseἐκείνοιςhoweverδὲwho areτοῖςoutsideἔξωinἐνparablesπαραβολαῖςτὰeverythingπάνταis doneγίνεται,

12so thatἵναSeeingβλέποντεςthey might seeβλέπωσιandκαὶnotμὴperceiveἴδωσιν,andκαὶhearingἀκούοντεςthey might hearἀκούωσιandκαὶnotμὴunderstandσυνιῶσιν,lestμήποτεthey should turnἐπιστρέψωσινandκαὶshould be forgivenἀφεθῇthemαὐτοῖς.

13AndΚαὶHe saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·NotΟὐκunderstand youοἴδατεtheτὴνparableπαραβολὴνthisταύτην,Andκαὶhowπῶςallπάσαςtheτὰςparablesπαραβολὰςwill you understandγνώσεσθε;

14The [one]ὁsowingσπείρωνtheτὸνwordλόγονsowsσπείρει.

15Theseοὗτοιnowδέareεἰσινtheyοἱalongπαρὰtheτὴνroadὁδὸνwhereὅπουis sownσπείρεταιtheὁwordλόγος,andκαὶwhenὅτανthey hearἀκούσωσινimmediatelyεὐθὺςcomesἔρχεταιὁSatanΣατανᾶςandκαὶtakes awayαἴρειtheτὸνwordλόγοντὸνhaving been sownἐσπαρμένονinεἰςthemαὐτούς.

16Andκαὶtheseοὗτοίareεἰσινlikewiseὁμοίωςthoseοἱuponἐπὶtheτὰrocky placesπετρώδηsownσπειρόμενοι,whoοἳwhenὅτανthey hearἀκούσωσινtheτὸνwordλόγονimmediatelyεὐθὺςwithμετὰjoyχαρᾶςreceiveλαμβάνουσινitαὐτόν,

17andκαὶnotοὐκthey haveἔχουσινrootῥίζανinἐνthemselvesἑαυτοῖςbutἀλλὰtemporaryπρόσκαιροίareεἰσιν,thenεἶταhaving arisenγενομένηςtribulationθλίψεωςorἢpersecutionδιωγμοῦon account ofδιὰtheτὸνwordλόγονimmediatelyεὐθὺςthey fall awayσκανδαλίζονται.

18Andκαὶtheseἄλλοιareεἰσὶνthoseοἱamongεἰςtheτὰςthornsἀκάνθαςsownσπειρόμενοι·Theseοὗτοίareεἰσινthoseοἱtheτὸνwordλόγονhaving heardἀκούσαντες,

19andκαὶtheαἱcaresμέριμναιτοῦof this ageαἰῶνοςandκαὶtheἡdeceitἀπάτηof theτοῦrichesπλούτουandκαὶαἱofπερὶtheτὰother thingsλοιπὰdesiresἐπιθυμίαιentering inεἰσπορευόμεναιchokeσυμπνίγουσινtheτὸνwordλόγον,andκαὶunfruitfulἄκαρποςit becomesγίνεται.

20Andκαὶtheseἐκεῖνοίareεἰσινthoseοἱuponἐπὶtheτὴνsoilγῆντὴνgoodκαλὴνhaving been sownσπαρέντες,such asοἵτινεςhearἀκούουσινtheτὸνwordλόγονandκαὶreceive [it]παραδέχονταιandκαὶbring forth fruitκαρποφοροῦσινoneἓνthirtyfoldτριάκονταandκαὶoneἓνsixtyἑξήκονταandκαὶoneἓνa hundredἑκατόν.

21AndΚαὶHe was sayingἔλεγενto themαὐτοῖς·NotΜήτιis brought inἔρχεταιtheὁlampλύχνοςso thatἵναunderὑπὸtheτὸνbasketμόδιονit might be putτεθῇorἢunderὑπὸtheτὴνbedκλίνην,[Is it] notοὐχthatἵναuponἐπὶtheτὴνlampstandλυχνίανit might be putτεθῇ;

22Nothingοὐforγάρthere isἐστινhiddenκρυπτὸνifἐὰνnotμὴthatἵναit should be made manifestφανερωθῇ,norοὐδὲhas taken placeἐγένετοa secret thingἀπόκρυφονbutἀλλ’thatἵναit should comeἔλθῃtoεἰςlightφανερόν.

23Ifεἴanyoneτιςhasἔχειearsὦταto hearἀκούεινlet him hearἀκουέτω.

24AndκαὶHe was sayingἔλεγενto themαὐτοῖς·Take heedΒλέπετεwhatτίyou hearἀκούετε.Withἐνwhatᾧmeasureμέτρῳyou measureμετρεῖτεit will be measuredμετρηθήσεταιto youὑμῖνandκαὶmore will be addedπροστεθήσεταιto youὑμῖν.

25Whoeverὃςforγὰρmay haveἔχει,it will be givenδοθήσεταιto himαὐτῷ·andκαὶhe whoὃςnotοὐκhasἔχει,evenκαὶthat whichὃhe hasἔχειwill be taken awayἀρθήσεταιfromἀπ’himαὐτοῦ.

26AndΚαὶHe was sayingἔλεγεν·ThusΟὕτωςisἐστὶνtheἡkingdomβασιλείατοῦof Godθεοῦasὡςa manἄνθρωποςshould castβάλῃtheτὸνseedσπόρονuponἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆς

27andκαὶshould sleepκαθεύδῃandκαὶriseἐγείρηταιnightνύκταandκαὶdayἡμέραν,andκαὶtheὁseedσπόροςshould sproutβλαστᾷandκαὶgrowμηκύνηταιhowὡςnotοὐκknowsοἶδενheαὐτός.

28Of itselfαὐτομάτηtheἡearthγῆbrings forth fruitκαρποφορεῖ,firstπρῶτονa plantχόρτον,thenεἶταan earστάχυν,thenεἶταfullπλήρηςgrainσῖτονinἐνtheτῷearστάχυϊ.

29Whenὅτανthenδὲoffers itselfπαραδοῖtheὁfruitκαρπός,immediatelyεὐθὺςhe sendsἀποστέλλειtheτὸsickleδρέπανον,forὅτιhas comeπαρέστηκενtheὁharvestθερισμός.

30AndΚαὶHe was sayingἔλεγεν·To whatΠῶςshall we likenὁμοιώσωμενtheτὴνkingdomβασιλείαντοῦof Godθεοῦ,Orἢinἐνwhatτίνιitαὐτὴνparableπαραβολῇshall we presentθῶμεν;

31Asὡςto a grainκόκκῳof mustardσινάπεως,whichὃςwhenὅτανit has been sownσπαρῇuponἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆς,smallestμικρότερονisὂνof allπάντωνtheτῶνseedsσπερμάτωνwhich [are]τῶνuponἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆς—

32andκαὶwhenὅτανit has been sownσπαρῇ,it grows upἀναβαίνειandκαὶbecomesγίνεταιgreaterμεῖζονthan allπάντωνtheτῶνgarden plantsλαχάνωνandκαὶit producesποιεῖbranchesκλάδουςgreatμεγάλους,so thatὥστεare ableδύνασθαιunderὑπὸtheτὴνshadowσκιὰνof itαὐτοῦtheτὰbirdsπετεινὰof theτοῦairοὐρανοῦto perchκατασκηνοῦν.

33AndΚαὶwith suchτοιαύταιςparablesπαραβολαῖςmanyπολλαῖςHe kept speakingἐλάλειto themαὐτοῖςtheτὸνwordλόγον,asκαθὼςthey were ableἠδύναντοto hearἀκούειν·

34Withoutχωρὶςthenδὲparablesπαραβολῆςnotοὐκwould He speakἐλάλειto themαὐτοῖς,inκατ’privateἰδίανhoweverδὲto HisτοῖςownἰδίοιςdisciplesμαθηταῖςHe would explainἐπέλυενall thingsπάντα.

35AndΚαὶHe saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖςonἐνthatἐκείνῃτῇdayἡμέρᾳeveningὀψίαςhaving comeγενομένης·Let us pass overΔιέλθωμενtoεἰςtheτὸother sideπέραν.

36Andκαὶhaving dismissedἀφέντεςtheτὸνcrowdὄχλονthey take with [them]παραλαμβάνουσινHimαὐτὸνsinceὡςHe wasἦνinἐνtheτῷboatπλοίῳ,alsoκαὶotherἄλλαboatsπλοῖαwereἦνwithμετ’Himαὐτοῦ.

37Andκαὶcomesγίνεταιa stormλαῖλαψviolentμεγάληof windἀνέμου,Andκαὶtheτὰwavesκύματαwere breakingἐπέβαλλενoverεἰςtheτὸboatπλοῖον,so thatὥστεalreadyἤδηis being filled upγεμίζεσθαιtheτὸboatπλοῖον.

38AndκαὶHeαὐτὸςwasἦνinἐνtheτῇsternπρύμνῃonἐπὶtheτὸcushionπροσκεφάλαιονsleepingκαθεύδων·Andκαὶthey awakenἐγείρουσινHimαὐτὸνandκαὶsayλέγουσινto Himαὐτῷ·TeacherΔιδάσκαλε,notοὐis it concernμέλειto Youσοιthatὅτιwe perishἀπολλύμεθα;

39Andκαὶhaving been awokenδιεγερθεὶςHe rebukedἐπετίμησενtheτῷwindἀνέμῳandκαὶsaidεἶπενto theτῇseaθαλάσσῃ·SilenceΣιώπα,be stillπεφίμωσο.Andκαὶabatedἐκόπασενtheὁwindἄνεμος,andκαὶthere wasἐγένετοa calmγαλήνηgreatμεγάλη.

40AndκαὶHe saidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·WhyΤίfearfulδειλοίare youἐστε;still ~ noοὔπωhave youἔχετεfaithπίστιν;

41Andκαὶthey fearedἐφοβήθησαν[with] fearφόβονgreatμέγαν,andκαὶwere sayingἔλεγονtoπρὸςeach otherἀλλήλους·WhoΤίςthenἄραthisοὗτόςisἐστινthatὅτιevenκαὶtheὁwindἄνεμοςandκαὶtheἡseaθάλασσαobeyὑπακούειHimαὐτῷ;
