1AndΚαὶthey cameἦλθονtoεἰςtheτὸother sideπέρανof theτῆςseaθαλάσσηςtoεἰςtheτὴνregionχώρανof theτῶνGerasenesΓερασηνῶν.
2Andκαὶhaving gone forthἐξελθόντοςof Himαὐτοῦout ofἐκtheτοῦboatπλοίουimmediatelyεὐθὺςmetὑπήντησενHimαὐτῷout ofἐκtheτῶνtombsμνημείωνa manἄνθρωποςwithἐνa spiritπνεύματιuncleanἀκαθάρτῳ,
3whoὃςtheτὴνdwellingκατοίκησινhadεἶχενinἐνtheτοῖςtombsμνήμασιν,Andκαὶnot evenοὐδὲwith chainsἁλύσειno longerοὐκέτιanyoneοὐδεὶςwas ableἐδύνατοhimαὐτὸνto bindδῆσαι
4becauseδιὰthatτὸheαὐτὸνoftenπολλάκιςwith shacklesπέδαιςandκαὶchainsἁλύσεσιhad been boundδεδέσθαιandκαὶhad been torn in twoδιεσπάσθαιbyὑπ’himαὐτοῦtheτὰςchainsἁλύσειςandκαὶtheτὰςshacklesπέδαςhad been shatteredσυντετρῖφθαι,andκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςwas ableἴσχυενhimαὐτὸνto subdueδαμάσαι·
5Andκαὶconstantlyδιὰallπαντὸςnightνυκτὸςandκαὶdayἡμέραςinἐνtheτοῖςtombsμνήμασινandκαὶinἐνtheτοῖςmountainsὄρεσινhe wasἦνcrying outκράζωνandκαὶcuttingκατακόπτωνhimselfἑαυτὸνwith stonesλίθοις.
6Andκαὶhaving seenἰδὼντὸνJesusἸησοῦνfromἀπὸafarμακρόθενhe ranἔδραμενandκαὶfell on his kneesπροσεκύνησενbefore Himαὐτόν,
7Andκαὶhaving criedκράξαςin a voiceφωνῇloudμεγάλῃhe saidλέγει·WhatΤίto meἐμοὶandκαὶto Youσοί,JesusἸησοῦSonυἱὲτοῦof GodθεοῦtheτοῦMost Highὑψίστου;I adjureὁρκίζωYouσετὸνby Godθεόν,notμήmeμεtormentβασανίσῃς.
8He was sayingἔλεγενforγὰρto himαὐτῷ·You come forthἜξελθεtheτὸspiritπνεῦματὸuncleanἀκάθαρτονout ofἐκtheτοῦmanἀνθρώπου.
9AndκαὶHe was askingἐπηρώταhimαὐτόν·What [is]Τί[the] nameὄνομάof youσοι;Andκαὶsayingλέγειhe answeredαὐτῷ·LegionΛεγιὼν[is] nameὄνομάto Meμοι,becauseὅτιmanyπολλοίwe areἐσμεν·
10Andκαὶhe beggedπαρεκάλειHimαὐτὸνnumerous timesπολλὰthatἵναnotμὴthemαὐτὰHe would sendἀποστείλῃout ofἔξωtheτῆςcountryχώρας.
11There wasἦνnowδὲthereἐκεῖnearπρὸςtheτῷmountainὄρειa herdἀγέληof pigsχοίρωνgreatμεγάληfeedingβοσκομένη·
12Andκαὶthey beggedπαρεκάλεσανHimαὐτὸνsayingλέγοντες·SendΠέμψονusἡμᾶςintoεἰςtheτοὺςpigsχοίρους,so thatἵναintoεἰςthemαὐτοὺςwe may enterεἰσέλθωμεν.
13AndκαὶHe allowedἐπέτρεψενthemαὐτοῖς.Andκαὶhaving gone outἐξελθόνταtheτὰspiritsπνεύματατὰuncleanἀκάθαρταenteredεἰσῆλθονintoεἰςtheτοὺςpigsχοίρους,andκαὶrushedὥρμησενtheἡherdἀγέληdownκατὰtheτοῦsteep bankκρημνοῦintoεἰςtheτὴνseaθάλασσαν,aboutὡςtwo thousandδισχίλιοι,andκαὶthey were drownedἐπνίγοντοinἐνtheτῇseaθαλάσσῃ.
14AndΚαὶthoseοἱfeedingβόσκοντεςthemαὐτοὺςfledἔφυγονandκαὶproclaimed [it]ἀπήγγειλανtoεἰςtheτὴνcityπόλινandκαὶtoεἰςtheτοὺςcountryἀγρούς·Andκαὶthey went outἦλθονto seeἰδεῖνwhatτίit isἐστινthatτὸhas been doneγεγονός.
15Andκαὶthey comeἔρχονταιtoπρὸςτὸνJesusἸησοῦν,andκαὶseeθεωροῦσινthe [man]τὸνpossessed by demonsδαιμονιζόμενονsittingκαθήμενονclothedἱματισμένονandκαὶsound mindedσωφρονοῦντα,the [one]τὸνhaving hadἐσχηκόταtheτὸνlegionλεγιῶνα,andκαὶthey were afraidἐφοβήθησαν.
16Andκαὶrelatedδιηγήσαντοto themαὐτοῖςthoseοἱhaving seen [it]ἰδόντεςhowπῶςit happenedἐγένετοto the [one]τῷbeing possessed by demonsδαιμονιζομένῳandκαὶconcerningπερὶtheτῶνpigsχοίρων.
17Andκαὶthey beganἤρξαντοto imploreπαρακαλεῖνHimαὐτὸνto departἀπελθεῖνfromἀπὸtheτῶνregionὁρίωνof themαὐτῶν.
18Andκαὶhaving enteredἐμβαίνοντοςHeαὐτοῦintoεἰςtheτὸboatπλοῖονwas beggingπαρεκάλειHimαὐτὸνthe [one]ὁhaving been possessed by demonsδαιμονισθεὶςthatἵναwithμετ’Himαὐτοῦhe might beᾖ.
19AndκαὶnotοὐκHe did permitἀφῆκενhimαὐτόν,butἀλλὰHe saysλέγειto himαὐτῷ·GoὝπαγεtoεἰςtheτὸνhomeοἶκόνof youσουtoπρὸςτοὺςyour ownσούς,andκαὶreportἀπάγγειλονto themαὐτοῖςhow muchὅσαtheὁLordκύριόςfor youσοιdidπεποίηκενandκαὶhad mercy onἠλέησένyouσε.
20Andκαὶhe departedἀπῆλθενandκαὶbeganἤρξατοto proclaimκηρύσσεινinἐνtheτῇDecapolisΔεκαπόλειhow muchὅσαhad doneἐποίησενfor himαὐτῷὁJesusἸησοῦς,andκαὶallπάντεςwere marvelingἐθαύμαζον.
21AndΚαὶhaving passed overδιαπεράσαντοςτοῦJesusἸησοῦinἐνtheτῷboatπλοίῳagainπάλινtoεἰςtheτὸother sideπέρανwas gatheredσυνήχθηa crowdὄχλοςgreatπολὺςtoἐπ’Himαὐτόν,andκαὶHe wasἦνbesideπαρὰtheτὴνseaθάλασσαν.
22Andκαὶcomesἔρχεταιoneεἷςof theτῶνsynagogue rulersἀρχισυναγώγων,namedὀνόματιJairusἸάϊρος,andκαὶhaving seenἰδὼνHimαὐτὸνfallsπίπτειatπρὸςtheτοὺςfeetπόδαςof Himαὐτοῦ
23andκαὶhe begsπαρακαλεῖHimαὐτὸνmuchπολλὰsayingλέγωνὅτιTheΤὸlittle daughterθυγάτριόνof meμουat the endἐσχάτωςis holdingἔχει,thatἵναhaving comeἐλθὼνYou would layἐπιθῇςtheτὰςhandsχεῖραςon herαὐτῇso thatἵναshe might be curedσωθῇandκαὶshe shall liveζήσῃ.
24AndκαὶHe departedἀπῆλθενwithμετ’himαὐτοῦ.AndΚαὶwas followingἠκολούθειHimαὐτῷa crowdὄχλοςgreatπολύς,andκαὶpressing in onσυνέθλιβονHimαὐτόν.
25Andκαὶa womanγυνὴbeingοὖσαwithἐνa fluxῥύσειof bloodαἵματοςtwelveδώδεκαyearsἔτη
26andκαὶmuchπολλὰhaving sufferedπαθοῦσαunderὑπὸmanyπολλῶνphysiciansἰατρῶνandκαὶhaving spentδαπανήσασαtheτὰofπαρ’herαὐτῆςallπάνταandκαὶin no wayμηδὲνhaving benefitedὠφεληθεῖσαbutἀλλὰratherμᾶλλονtoεἰςtheτὸworseχεῖρονhaving comeἐλθοῦσα,
27having heardἀκούσασαconcerningπερὶτοῦJesusἸησοῦ,having come upἐλθοῦσαinἐνtheτῷcrowdὄχλῳbehindὄπισθενshe touchedἥψατοtheτοῦclothingἱματίουof Himαὐτοῦ·
28She was sayingἔλεγενforγὰρὅτιIfἘὰνI shall touchἅψωμαιevenκἂνtheτῶνgarmentsἱματίωνof HimαὐτοῦI will be healedσωθήσομαι.
29Andκαὶimmediatelyεὐθὺςwas dried upἐξηράνθηtheἡflowπηγὴof theτοῦbloodαἵματοςof herαὐτῆς,andκαὶshe knewἔγνωin theτῷbodyσώματιthatὅτιshe was healedἴαταιfromἀπὸtheτῆςafflictionμάστιγος.
30AndκαὶimmediatelyεὐθὺςὁJesusἸησοῦςhaving knownἐπιγνοὺςinἐνHimselfἑαυτῷtheτὴνout ofἐξHimαὐτοῦpowerδύναμινhaving gone forthἐξελθοῦσανhaving turnedἐπιστραφεὶςinἐνtheτῷcrowdὄχλῳsaidἔλεγεν·WhoΤίςof Meμουtouchedἥψατοtheτῶνgarmentsἱματίων;
31Andκαὶwere sayingἔλεγονto Himαὐτῷtheοἱdisciplesμαθηταὶof Himαὐτοῦ·You seeΒλέπειςtheτὸνcrowdὄχλονpressing in onσυνθλίβοντάYouσε,andκαὶsay Youλέγεις·WhoΤίςMeμουtouchedἥψατο;
32AndκαὶHe was looking aroundπεριεβλέπετοto seeἰδεῖνthe [one]τὴνthisτοῦτοhaving doneποιήσασαν.
33ἡAndδὲthe womanγυνὴhaving been frightenedφοβηθεῖσαandκαὶtremblingτρέμουσα,knowingεἰδυῖαwhatὃhad been doneγέγονενto herαὐτῇ,cameἦλθενandκαὶfell down beforeπροσέπεσενHimαὐτῷandκαὶtoldεἶπενHimαὐτῷallπᾶσανtheτὴνtruthἀλήθειαν.
34ὁAndδὲHe saidεἶπενto herαὐτῇ·DaughterΘυγάτηρ,theἡfaithπίστιςof youσουhas healedσέσωκένyouσε·goὕπαγεinεἰςpeaceεἰρήνην,andκαὶbeἴσθιsoundὑγιὴςfromἀπὸtheτῆςafflictionμάστιγόςof youσου.
35[While] yetἜτιHeαὐτοῦis speakingλαλοῦντοςthey comeἔρχονταιfromἀπὸtheτοῦruler of synagogue’s [house]ἀρχισυναγώγουsayingλέγοντεςὅτιTheἩdaughterθυγάτηρof Youσουis deadἀπέθανεν·whyτίstillἔτιtrouble youσκύλλειςtheτὸνTeacherδιδάσκαλον;
36ὁAndδὲJesusἸησοῦςhaving heardπαρακούσαςtheτὸνwordλόγονspokenλαλούμενονsaysλέγειto theτῷruler of the synagogueἀρχισυναγώγῳ·NotΜὴfearφοβοῦ,onlyμόνονbelieveπίστευε.
37AndκαὶnotοὐκHe allowedἀφῆκενno oneοὐδέναwithμετ’Himαὐτοῦto followσυνακολουθῆσαιifεἰnotμὴτὸνPeterΠέτρονandκαὶJamesἸάκωβονandκαὶJohnἸωάννηνtheτὸνbrotherἀδελφὸνof JamesἸακώβου.
38Andκαὶthey comeἔρχονταιtoεἰςtheτὸνhouseοἶκονof theτοῦruler of the synagogueἀρχισυναγώγου,andκαὶHe beholdsθεωρεῖa commotionθόρυβονandκαὶweepingκλαίονταςandκαὶwailingἀλαλάζονταςmuchπολλά,
39Andκαὶhaving enteredεἰσελθὼνHe saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·WhyΤίmake you commotionθορυβεῖσθεandκαὶweepκλαίετε;Theτὸchildπαιδίονnotοὐκis deadἀπέθανενbutἀλλὰsleepsκαθεύδει.
40Andκαὶthey were laughing atκατεγέλωνHimαὐτοῦ.Heαὐτὸςthenδὲhaving put outἐκβαλὼνallπάνταςtakes with [Him]παραλαμβάνειtheτὸνfatherπατέραof theτοῦchildπαιδίουandκαὶtheτὴνmotherμητέραandκαὶthoseτοὺςwithμετ’Himαὐτοῦ,andκαὶenters inεἰσπορεύεταιwhereὅπουwasἦνtheτὸchildπαιδίον·
41Andκαὶhaving takenκρατήσαςtheτῆςhandχειρὸςof theτοῦchildπαιδίουHe saysλέγειto herαὐτῇ·TalithaΤαλιθαkoumκουμ,Whichὅisἐστινtranslatedμεθερμηνευόμενον·ΤὸLittle girlκοράσιον,to youσοὶI sayλέγω,ariseἔγειρε.
42Andκαὶimmediatelyεὐθὺςaroseἀνέστηtheτὸgirlκοράσιονandκαὶbegan walkingπεριεπάτει,she wasἦνforγὰρof yearsἐτῶνtwelveδώδεκα.Andκαὶthey were overcomeἐξέστησανimmediatelyεὐθὺςwith amazementἐκστάσειgreatμεγάλῃ.
43AndκαὶHe instructedδιεστείλατοthemαὐτοῖςstrictlyπολλὰthatἵναno oneμηδεὶςshould knowγνοῖthisτοῦτο,andκαὶHe commandedεἶπενto be givenδοθῆναιto herαὐτῇto eatφαγεῖν.
