1AndΚαὶhaving summonedπροσκαλεσάμενοςtheτοὺςtwelveδώδεκαdisciplesμαθητὰςof HimαὐτοῦHe gaveἔδωκενto themαὐτοῖςauthorityἐξουσίανover spiritsπνευμάτωνuncleanἀκαθάρτωνso asὥστεto cast outἐκβάλλεινthemαὐτὰandκαὶto healθεραπεύεινeveryπᾶσανdiseaseνόσονandκαὶeveryπᾶσανsicknessμαλακίαν.

2τῶνAndδὲof the twelveδώδεκαapostlesἀποστόλωνtheτὰnamesὀνόματάareἐστινtheseταῦτα·firstπρῶτοςSimonΣίμωνὁcalledλεγόμενοςPeterΠέτροςandκαὶAndrewἈνδρέαςtheὁbrotherἀδελφὸςof himαὐτοῦ,JamesἸάκωβοςthe [son]ὁofτοῦZebedeeΖεβεδαίουandκαὶJohnἸωάννηςtheὁbrotherἀδελφὸςof himαὐτοῦ,

3PhilipΦίλιπποςandκαὶBartholomewΒαρθολομαῖος,ThomasΘωμᾶςandκαὶMatthewΜαθθαῖοςtheὁtax collectorτελώνης,JamesἸάκωβοςthe [son]ὁτοῦof AlphaeusἉλφαίουandκαὶThaddaeusΘαδδαῖος,

4SimonΣίμωνtheὁZealotΚαναναῖοςandκαὶJudasἸούδαςὁIscariotἸσκαριώτηςthe [one]ὁalsoκαὶhaving betrayedπαραδοὺςHimαὐτόν.

5TheseΤούτουςτοὺςtwelveδώδεκαsent forthἀπέστειλενὁJesusἸησοῦςhaving instructedπαραγγείλαςthemαὐτοῖςsayingλέγων·IntoΕἰς[the] wayὁδὸνof the Gentilesἐθνῶνnotμὴgo offἀπέλθητεandκαὶintoεἰςany cityπόλινof [the] SamaritansΣαμαριτῶνnotμὴenterεἰσέλθητε·

6goπορεύεσθεhoweverδὲratherμᾶλλονtoπρὸςthoseτὰsheepπρόβατατὰbeing lostἀπολωλόταof [the] houseοἴκουof IsraelἸσραήλ.

7Going onπορευόμενοιalsoδὲproclaimκηρύσσετεsayingλέγοντεςὅτιHas drawn nearἬγγικενTheἡkingdomβασιλείαof theτῶνheavensοὐρανῶν.

8[Those] ailingἀσθενοῦνταςhealθεραπεύετε,deadνεκροὺςraiseἐγείρετε,lepersλεπροὺςcleanseκαθαρίζετε,demonsδαιμόνιαcast outἐκβάλλετε·freelyδωρεὰνyou receivedἐλάβετε,freelyδωρεὰνgiveδότε.

9Neitherμὴtake alongκτήσησθεgoldχρυσὸνnorμηδὲsilverἄργυρονnorμηδὲcopperχαλκὸνinεἰςtheτὰςbeltsζώναςof youὑμῶν,

10norμὴprovision-bagπήρανforεἰς[the] wayὁδὸνnorμηδὲtwoδύοtunicsχιτῶναςnorμηδὲsandalsὑποδήματαnorμηδὲa staffῥάβδον·worthy [is]ἄξιοςforγὰρtheὁworkmanἐργάτηςof theτῆςprovisionsτροφῆςof himαὐτοῦ.

11Intoεἰςwhateverἣνnowδ’ἂνcityπόλινorἢvillageκώμηνyou enterεἰσέλθητε,inquireἐξετάσατεwhoτίςinἐνitαὐτῇworthyἄξιόςisἐστιν·and thereκἀκεῖremainμείνατεuntilἕωςἂνyou go forthἐξέλθητε.

12Enteringεἰσερχόμενοιnowδὲintoεἰςtheτὴνhouseοἰκίανgreetἀσπάσασθεitαὐτήν·

13Andκαὶifἐὰνindeedμὲνbeᾖtheἡhouseοἰκίαworthyἀξία,let comeἐλθάτωtheἡpeaceεἰρήνηof youὑμῶνuponἐπ’itαὐτήν·ifἐὰνhoweverδὲnotμὴit beᾖworthyἀξία,theἡpeaceεἰρήνηof youὑμῶνtoπρὸςyouὑμᾶςlet returnἐπιστραφήτω.

14Andκαὶwhoeverὃςἂνnotμὴwill receiveδέξηταιyouὑμᾶςnorμηδὲwill hearἀκούσῃtheτοὺςwordsλόγουςof youὑμῶν,going forthἐξερχόμενοιoutἔξωof theτῆςhouseοἰκίαςorἢof theτῆςcityπόλεωςthatἐκείνηςshake offἐκτινάξατεtheτὸνdustκονιορτὸνof theτῶνfeetποδῶνof youὑμῶν.

15TrulyἀμὴνI sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,More tolerableἀνεκτότερονit will beἔσταιfor [the] landγῇof SodomΣοδόμωνandκαὶof GomorrahΓομόρρωνonἐνdayἡμέρᾳof judgmentκρίσεωςthanἢtheτῇcityπόλειfor thatἐκείνῃ.

16BeholdἸδοὺIἐγὼsend forthἀποστέλλωyouὑμᾶςasὡςsheepπρόβαταinἐν[the] midstμέσῳof wolvesλύκων·be youγίνεσθεthereforeοὖνshrewdφρόνιμοιasὡςtheοἱserpentsὄφειςandκαὶinnocentἀκέραιοιasὡςtheαἱdovesπεριστεραί.

17Bewareπροσέχετεhoweverδὲofἀπὸτῶνmenἀνθρώπων·they will deliverπαραδώσουσινforγὰρyouὑμᾶςintoεἰςcourtsσυνέδρια,andκαὶinἐνtheταῖςsynagoguesσυναγωγαῖςof themαὐτῶνthey will flogμαστιγώσουσινyouὑμᾶς·

18andκαὶbeforeἐπὶgovernorsἡγεμόναςalsoδὲandκαὶkingsβασιλεῖςyou will be broughtἀχθήσεσθεon account ofἕνεκενMeἐμοῦforεἰςa testimonyμαρτύριονto themαὐτοῖςandκαὶto theτοῖςGentilesἔθνεσιν.

19Whenὅτανthenδὲthey deliver upπαραδῶσινyouὑμᾶς,notμὴbe anxiousμεριμνήσητεhowπῶςorἢwhatτίyou should speakλαλήσητε·it will be givenδοθήσεταιforγὰρyouὑμῖνinἐνthatἐκείνῃτῇhourὥρᾳwhatτίyou should sayλαλήσητε·

20NotοὐforγὰρyouὑμεῖςareἐστεthoseοἱspeakingλαλοῦντεςbutἀλλὰtheτὸSpiritπνεῦμαof theτοῦFatherπατρὸςof youὑμῶντὸspeakingλαλοῦνthroughἐνyouὑμῖν.

21Will deliver upπαραδώσειnowδὲbrotherἀδελφὸςbrotherἀδελφὸνtoεἰςdeathθάνατονandκαὶfatherπατὴρchildτέκνον,Andκαὶwill rise upἐπαναστήσονταιchildrenτέκναagainstἐπὶparentsγονεῖςandκαὶwill put to deathθανατώσουσινthemαὐτούς.

22Andκαὶyou will beἔσεσθεhatedμισούμενοιbyὑπὸallπάντωνon account ofδιὰtheτὸnameὄνομάof Meμου·the [one]ὁhoweverδὲhaving enduredὑπομείναςtoεἰς[the] endτέλοςheοὗτοςwill be savedσωθήσεται.

23Wheneverὅτανthenδὲthey persecuteδιώκωσινyouὑμᾶςinἐνtheτῇcityπόλειoneταύτῃ,fleeφεύγετεtoεἰςtheτὴνnextἑτέραν·TrulyἀμὴνforγὰρI sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,noοὐnotμὴshall you have completedτελέσητεtheτὰςcitiesπόλειςofτοῦIsraelἸσραὴλuntilἕως*ἂνbe comeἔλθῃtheὁSonυἱὸςofτοῦManἀνθρώπου.

24NotΟὐκisἔστινa discipleμαθητὴςaboveὑπὲρtheτὸνteacherδιδάσκαλονnorοὐδὲa servantδοῦλοςaboveὑπὲρtheτὸνmasterκύριονof himαὐτοῦ.

25[It is] sufficientἀρκετὸνfor theτῷdiscipleμαθητῇthatἵναhe becomeγένηταιasὡςtheὁteacherδιδάσκαλοςof himαὐτοῦ,andκαὶtheὁservantδοῦλοςasὡςtheὁmasterκύριοςof himαὐτοῦ.Ifεἰtheτὸνmaster of the houseοἰκοδεσπότηνBeelzebulΒεελζεβοὺλthey calledἐπεκάλεσαν,how muchπόσῳmoreμᾶλλονthoseτοὺςhouse membersοἰκιακοὺςof himαὐτοῦ.

26NotΜὴthereforeοὖνyou should fearφοβηθῆτεthemαὐτούς·nothingοὐδὲνforγάρisἐστινconcealedκεκαλυμμένονwhichὃnotοὐκwill be revealedἀποκαλυφθήσεται,orκαὶhiddenκρυπτὸνwhichὃnotοὐwill be knownγνωσθήσεται.

27WhatὃI tellλέγωyouὑμῖνinἐνtheτῇdarknessσκοτίᾳ,speakεἴπατεinἐνtheτῷlightφωτί·andκαὶwhatὃinεἰςtheτὸearοὖςyou hearἀκούετε,proclaimκηρύξατεuponἐπὶtheτῶνhousetopsδωμάτων.

28Andκαὶnotμὴyou should be afraidφοβεῖσθεofἀπὸthoseτῶνkillingἀποκτεννόντωνtheτὸbodyσῶμαtheτὴνhoweverδὲsoulψυχὴνnotμὴbeing ableδυναμένωνto killἀποκτεῖναι·you should fearφοβεῖσθεhoweverδὲratherμᾶλλονthe [One]τὸνbeing ableδυνάμενονbothκαὶsoulψυχὴνandκαὶbodyσῶμαto destroyἀπολέσαιinἐνhellγεέννῃ.

29Notοὐχὶtwoδύοsparrowsστρουθίαfor an assarionἀσσαρίουare soldπωλεῖται;Andκαὶoneἓνofἐξthemαὐτῶνnotοὐwill fallπεσεῖταιtoἐπὶtheτὴνgroundγῆνapart fromἄνευtheτοῦFatherπατρὸςof youὑμῶν.

30Of youὑμῶνnowδὲevenκαὶtheαἱhairsτρίχεςof theτῆςheadκεφαλῆςallπᾶσαιnumberedἠριθμημέναιareεἰσίν.

31Notμὴthereforeοὖνyou should fearφοβεῖσθε·than manyπολλῶνsparrowsστρουθίωνare worth moreδιαφέρετεyouὑμεῖς.

32EveryoneΠᾶςthereforeοὖνwhoὅστιςwill confessὁμολογήσειinἐνMeἐμοὶbeforeἔμπροσθεντῶνmenἀνθρώπων,will confessὁμολογήσωalso IκἀγὼinἐνhimαὐτῷbeforeἔμπροσθενtheτοῦFatherπατρόςof Meμουwho [is]τοῦinἐνheavensοὐρανοῖς·

33Whoeverὅστιςnowδ’ἂνshall denyἀρνήσηταίMeμεbeforeἔμπροσθεντῶνmenἀνθρώπων,will denyἀρνήσομαιI alsoκἀγὼhimαὐτὸνbeforeἔμπροσθενtheτοῦFatherπατρόςof Meμουwho [is]τοῦinἐνheavensοὐρανοῖς.

34NotΜὴthinkνομίσητεthatὅτιI cameἦλθονto bringβαλεῖνpeaceεἰρήνηνtoἐπὶtheτὴνearthγῆν·notοὐκI cameἦλθονto bringβαλεῖνpeaceεἰρήνηνbutἀλλὰa swordμάχαιραν.

35I cameἦλθονforγὰρto set at varianceδιχάσαιA manἄνθρωπονagainstκατὰtheτοῦfatherπατρὸςof himαὐτοῦandκαὶa daughterθυγατέραagainstκατὰtheτῆςmotherμητρὸςof herαὐτῆςandκαὶa daughter-in-lawνύμφηνagainstκατὰtheτῆςmother-in-lawπενθερᾶςof herαὐτῆς,

36Andκαὶenemiesἐχθροὶof theτοῦmanἀνθρώπουtheοἱhouseholdοἰκιακοὶof himαὐτοῦ.

37The [one]ὁlovingφιλῶνfatherπατέραorἢmotherμητέραaboveὑπὲρMeἐμὲnotοὐκisἔστινof Meμουworthyἄξιος·andκαὶthe [one]ὁlovingφιλῶνsonυἱὸνorἢdaughterθυγατέραaboveὑπὲρMeἐμὲnotοὐκisἔστινof Meμουworthyἄξιος·

38Andκαὶhe whoὃςnotοὐtakesλαμβάνειtheτὸνcrossσταυρὸνof himαὐτοῦandκαὶfollowsἀκολουθεῖafterὀπίσωMeμου,notοὐκisἔστινof Meμουworthyἄξιος.

39The [one]ὁhaving foundεὑρὼνtheτὴνlifeψυχὴνof himαὐτοῦwill loseἀπολέσειitαὐτήν,andκαὶthe [one]ὁhaving lostἀπολέσαςtheτὴνlifeψυχὴνof himαὐτοῦon account ofἕνεκενMeἐμοῦwill findεὑρήσειitαὐτήν.

40The [One]ὉreceivingδεχόμενοςyouὑμᾶςMeἐμὲreceivesδέχεται,andκαὶthe [one]ὁMeἐμὲreceivingδεχόμενοςreceivesδέχεταιthe [One]τὸνhaving sentἀποστείλαντάMeμε.

41The [one]ὁreceivingδεχόμενοςa prophetπροφήτηνin [the]εἰςnameὄνομαof a prophetπροφήτου[the] rewardμισθὸνof a prophetπροφήτουwill receiveλήμψεται,andκαὶthe [one]ὁreceivingδεχόμενοςa righteous [man]δίκαιονin [the]εἰςnameὄνομαof a righteous [man]δικαίουthe rewardμισθὸνof a righteous [man]δικαίουwill receiveλήμψεται.

42Andκαὶwhoeverὃς*ἂνshall give to drinkποτίσῃoneἕναtheτῶνlittle onesμικρῶνof theseτούτωνa cupποτήριονof cold [water]ψυχροῦonlyμόνονin [the]εἰςnameὄνομαof a discipleμαθητοῦ,trulyἀμὴνI sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,noοὐnotμὴshall he loseἀπολέσῃtheτὸνrewardμισθὸνof himαὐτοῦ.
