Matthew 22
1AndΚαὶansweringἀποκριθεὶςὁJesusἸησοῦςagainπάλινspokeεἶπενinἐνparablesπαραβολαῖςto themαὐτοῖςsayingλέγων·
2Has become likeὩμοιώθηtheἡkingdomβασιλείαof theτῶνheavensοὐρανῶνto a manἀνθρώπῳa kingβασιλεῖ,whoὅστιςmadeἐποίησενa wedding feastγάμουςfor theτῷsonυἱῷof himαὐτοῦ.
3Andκαὶhe sentἀπέστειλενtheτοὺςservantsδούλουςof himαὐτοῦto callκαλέσαιthoseτοὺςhaving been invitedκεκλημένουςtoεἰςtheτοὺςwedding feastγάμους,andκαὶnotοὐκthey were willingἤθελονto comeἐλθεῖν.
4Againπάλινhe sentἀπέστειλενotherἄλλουςservantsδούλουςsayingλέγων·SayΕἴπατεto thoseτοῖςhaving been invitedκεκλημένοις·BeholdἸδοὺtheτὸdinnerἄριστόνof meμουI have preparedἡτοίμακα,theοἱoxenταῦροίof Meμουandκαὶtheτὰfatlingsσιτιστὰhave been killedτεθυμένα,andκαὶall things [are]πάνταreadyἕτοιμα·comeδεῦτεtoεἰςtheτοὺςwedding feastγάμους.
5οἱAndδὲhaving paid no attentionἀμελήσαντεςthey went awayἀπῆλθον,oneὃςμὲνtoεἰςtheτὸνownἴδιονfieldἀγρόν,oneὃςthenδὲtoἐπὶtheτὴνbusinessἐμπορίανof himαὐτοῦ·
6οἱAndδὲthe restλοιποὶhaving laid hold ofκρατήσαντεςtheτοὺςservantsδούλουςof himαὐτοῦmistreatedὕβρισανandκαὶkilled [them]ἀπέκτειναν.
7ὁAndδὲthe kingβασιλεὺςwas angryὠργίσθη,andκαὶhaving sentπέμψαςtheτὰarmiesστρατεύματαof himαὐτοῦhe destroyedἀπώλεσενtheτοὺςmurderersφονεῖςthoseἐκείνουςandκαὶtheτὴνcityπόλινof themαὐτῶνhe burnedἐνέπρησεν.
8Thenτότεhe saysλέγειtoτοῖςservantsδούλοιςof himαὐτοῦ·TheὉindeedμὲνwedding feastγάμοςreadyἕτοιμόςisἐστιν,thoseοἱhoweverδὲhaving been invitedκεκλημένοιnotοὐκwereἦσανworthyἄξιοι·
9Goπορεύεσθεthereforeοὖνintoἐπὶtheτὰςthoroughfaresδιεξόδουςof theτῶνhighwaysὁδῶν,andκαὶas many asὅσουςifἐὰνyou shall findεὕρητεinviteκαλέσατεtoεἰςtheτοὺςwedding feastγάμους.
10Andκαὶhaving gone outἐξελθόντεςtheοἱservantsδοῦλοιthoseἐκεῖνοιintoεἰςtheτὰςhighwaysὁδοὺςthey brought togetherσυνήγαγονallπάνταςas many asοὓςthey foundεὗρον,evilπονηρούςbothτεandκαὶgoodἀγαθούς·andκαὶbecame fullἐπλήσθηtheὁwedding hallγάμοςof those recliningἀνακειμένων.
11Having entered inεἰσελθὼνthenδὲtheὁkingβασιλεὺςto seeθεάσασθαιthoseτοὺςrecliningἀνακειμένουςhe beheldεἶδενthereἐκεῖa manἄνθρωπονnotοὐκbeing dressedἐνδεδυμένονin clothesἔνδυμαof weddingγάμου·
12andκαὶhe saysλέγειto himαὐτῷ·FriendἙταῖρε,howπῶςdid you enterεἰσῆλθεςhereὧδεnotμὴhavingἔχωνgarmentἔνδυμαof weddingγάμου;ὁAndδὲhe was speechlessἐφιμώθη.
13Thenτότεtheὁkingβασιλεὺςsaidεἶπενto theτοῖςservantsδιακόνοις·Having boundΔήσαντεςhisαὐτοῦfeetπόδαςandκαὶhandsχεῖραςcast outἐκβάλετεhimαὐτὸνintoεἰςtheτὸdarknessσκότοςτὸouterἐξώτερον·thereἐκεῖwill beἔσταιtheὁweepingκλαυθμὸςandκαὶtheὁgnashingβρυγμὸςof theτῶνteethὀδόντων.
14Manyπολλοὶforγάρareεἰσινcalledκλητοὶfewὀλίγοιhoweverδὲchosenἐκλεκτοί.
15ThenΤότεhaving gone outπορευθέντεςtheοἱPhariseesΦαρισαῖοιcounselσυμβούλιονtookἔλαβονhowὅπωςHimαὐτὸνthey might trapπαγιδεύσωσινinἐνHis wordsλόγῳ.
16Andκαὶthey sendἀποστέλλουσινto Himαὐτῷtheτοὺςdisciplesμαθητὰςof themαὐτῶνwithμετὰtheτῶνHerodiansἩρῳδιανῶνsayingλέγοντες·TeacherΔιδάσκαλε,we knowοἴδαμενthatὅτιtrueἀληθὴςYou areεἶandκαὶtheτὴνwayὁδὸντοῦof Godθεοῦinἐν[the] truthἀληθείᾳYou teachδιδάσκεις,andκαὶnotοὐthere is careμέλειto Youσοιaboutπερὶno oneοὐδενός,notοὐforγὰρYou lookβλέπειςon [the]εἰςappearanceπρόσωπονof menἀνθρώπων·
17TellεἰπὸνthereforeοὖνusἡμῖνwhatτίYouσοιthinkδοκεῖ·Is it lawfulἔξεστινto giveδοῦναιtributeκῆνσονto CaesarΚαίσαριorἢnotοὔ;
18Having knownγνοὺςhoweverδὲὁJesusἸησοῦςtheτὴνmaliceπονηρίανof themαὐτῶνHe saidεἶπεν·WhyΤίMeμεdo you testπειράζετε,hypocritesὑποκριταί;
19ShowἐπιδείξατέMeμοιtheτὸcoinνόμισμαof theτοῦtributeκήνσου.οἱAndδὲthey presentedπροσήνεγκανto Himαὐτῷa denariusδηνάριον.
20AndκαὶHe saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·Whose [is]ΤίνοςtheἡlikenessεἰκὼνthisαὕτηAndκαὶwhoseἡinscriptionἐπιγραφή;
21They sayλέγουσινhimαὐτῷ·Caesar’sΚαίσαρος.ThenτότεHe saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·Give backἈπόδοτεthereforeοὖνthe thingsτὰof CaesarΚαίσαροςto CaesarΚαίσαριandκαὶthe thingsτὰτοῦof Godθεοῦτῷto Godθεῷ.
22Andκαὶhaving heardἀκούσαντεςthey marveledἐθαύμασαν,andκαὶhaving leftἀφέντεςHimαὐτὸνthey went awayἀπῆλθαν.
23OnἘνthatἐκείνῃτῇdayἡμέρᾳcameπροσῆλθονto HimαὐτῷSadduceesΣαδδουκαῖοι,those sayingλέγοντεςnotμὴthere isεἶναιa resurrectionἀνάστασιν,andκαὶthey questionedἐπηρώτησανHimαὐτὸν
24sayingλέγοντες·TeacherΔιδάσκαλε,MosesΜωϋσῆςsaidεἶπεν·IfἘάνanyoneτιςshould dieἀποθάνῃnotμὴhavingἔχωνchildrenτέκνα,will marryἐπιγαμβρεύσειtheὁbrotherἀδελφὸςof himαὐτοῦtheτὴνwifeγυναῖκαof himαὐτοῦandκαὶhe will raise upἀναστήσειoffspringσπέρμαfor theτῷbrotherἀδελφῷof himαὐτοῦ.
25There wereἦσανnowδὲamongπαρ’usἡμῖνsevenἑπτὰbrothersἀδελφοί·andκαὶtheὁfirstπρῶτοςhaving marriedγήμαςdiedἐτελεύτησεν,andκαὶnotμὴhavingἔχωνseedσπέρμαhe leftἀφῆκενtheτὴνwifeγυναῖκαof himαὐτοῦto theτῷbrotherἀδελφῷof himαὐτοῦ·
26Likewiseὁμοίωςalsoκαὶtheὁsecondδεύτεροςandκαὶtheὁthirdτρίτος,untoἕωςtheτῶνseventhἑπτά·
27Lastὕστερονthenδὲof allπάντωνdiedἀπέθανενtheἡwomanγυνή.
28Inἐνtheτῇresurrectionἀναστάσειthereforeοὖνof whichτίνοςof theτῶνsevenἑπτὰwill she beἔσταιwifeγυνή;Allπάντεςforγὰρhadἔσχονherαὐτήν.
29AnsweringἈποκριθεὶςnowδὲὁJesusἸησοῦςsaidεἶπενto themαὐτοῖς·You errΠλανᾶσθεnotμὴknowingεἰδότεςtheτὰςScripturesγραφὰςnorμηδὲtheτὴνpowerδύναμιντοῦof Godθεοῦ·
30Inἐνforγὰρtheτῇresurrectionἀναστάσειneitherοὔτεdo they marryγαμοῦσινnorοὔτεare given in marriageγαμίζονται,butἀλλ’likeὡςangelsἄγγελοιof Godθεοῦinἐντῷheavenοὐρανῷthey areεἰσιν·
31Concerningπερὶnowδὲtheτῆςresurrectionἀναστάσεωςof theτῶνdeadνεκρῶνnotοὐκhave you readἀνέγνωτεthat whichτὸhas been spokenῥηθὲνto youὑμῖνbyὑπὸτοῦGodθεοῦsayingλέγοντος·
32IἘγώamεἰμιtheὁGodθεὸςof AbrahamἈβραὰμandκαὶtheὁGodθεὸςof IsaacἸσαὰκandκαὶtheὁGodθεὸςof JacobἸακώβ;NotοὐκHe isἔστινtheὁGodθεὸςof [the] deadνεκρῶνbutἀλλὰof [the] livingζώντων.
33Andκαὶhaving heardἀκούσαντεςtheοἱcrowdsὄχλοιwere astonishedἐξεπλήσσοντοatἐπὶtheτῇteachingδιδαχῇof Himαὐτοῦ.
34ΟἱAndδὲthe PhariseesΦαρισαῖοιhaving heardἀκούσαντεςthatὅτιHe had silencedἐφίμωσενtheτοὺςSadduceesΣαδδουκαίουςwere gatheredσυνήχθησανtogetherἐπὶtheτὸsameαὐτό.
35Andκαὶquestioned [Him]ἐπηρώτησενoneεἷςofἐξthemαὐτῶνa lawyerνομικὸςtestingπειράζωνHimαὐτόν·
36TeacherΔιδάσκαλε,whichποίαcommandmentἐντολὴ[is the] greatestμεγάληinἐνtheτῷlawνόμῳ;
37ὁAndδὲHe saidἔφηto himαὐτῷ·You shall loveἈγαπήσεις[the] LordκύριονtheτὸνGodθεόνof youσουwithἐνallὅλῃtheτῇheartκαρδίᾳof youσουandκαὶwithἐνallὅλῃtheτῇsoulψυχῇof youσουandκαὶwithἐνallὅλῃtheτῇmindδιανοίᾳof youσου·
38Thisαὕτηisἐστὶνtheἡgreatμεγάληandκαὶfirstπρώτηcommandmentἐντολή.
39[The] secondΔευτέραandδὲ[is] likeὁμοίαitαὐτῇ·You shall loveἈγαπήσειςtheτὸνneighborπλησίονof youσουasὡςyourselfσεαυτόν.
40OnἐνtheseταύταιςταῖςtwoδυσὶνcommandmentsἐντολαῖςallὅλοςtheὁlawνόμοςhangsκρέματαιandκαὶtheοἱProphetsπροφῆται.
41Having been assembled togetherΣυνηγμένωνnowδὲtheτῶνPhariseesΦαρισαίωνquestionedἐπηρώτησενthemαὐτοὺςὁJesusἸησοῦς
42sayingλέγων·WhatΤίyouὑμῖνthinkδοκεῖconcerningπερὶtheτοῦChristχριστοῦ;Of whomτίνοςsonυἱόςis Heἐστιν;They sayλέγουσινto Himαὐτῷ·ΤοῦOf DavidΔαυίδ.
43He saysλέγειto themαὐτοῖς·HowΠῶςthenοὖνDavidΔαυὶδinἐνspiritπνεύματιdoes callκαλεῖHimαὐτὸνLordκύριονsayingλέγων·
44SaidΕἶπενthe Lordκύριοςto theτῷLordκυρίῳof meμου·SitΚάθουonἐκ[the] right handδεξιῶνof MeμουuntilἕωςἂνI placeθῶtheτοὺςenemiesἐχθρούςof Youσου[as] a footstoolὑποκάτωfor theτῶνfeetποδῶνof Youσου;
45IfεἰthereforeοὖνDavidΔαυὶδcallsκαλεῖHimαὐτὸνLordκύριον,howπῶςsonυἱὸςof himαὐτοῦis Heἐστιν;
46Andκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςwas ableἐδύνατοto answerἀποκριθῆναιHimαὐτῷa wordλόγον,norοὐδὲdaredἐτόλμησένanyoneτιςfromἀπ’thatἐκείνηςτῆςdayἡμέραςto questionἐπερωτῆσαιHimαὐτὸνno longerοὐκέτι.
