1AndΚαὶduringἐνtheτῷarriving ofσυμπληροῦσθαιtheτὴνdayἡμέραντῆςof Pentecostπεντηκοστῆςthey wereἦσανallπάντεςtogetherὁμοῦinἐπὶtheτὸone [place]αὐτό,
2Andκαὶcameἐγένετοsuddenlyἄφνωout ofἐκτοῦheavenοὐρανοῦa soundἦχοςlikeὥσπερ[the] rushingφερομένηςof a windπνοῆςviolentβιαίαςandκαὶit filledἐπλήρωσενallὅλονtheτὸνhouseοἶκονwhereοὗthey wereἦσανsittingκαθήμενοι,
3Andκαὶthere appearedὤφθησανto themαὐτοῖςdividingδιαμεριζόμεναιtonguesγλῶσσαιasὡσεὶof fireπυρός,andκαὶsatἐκάθισενuponἐφ’oneἕναeachἕκαστονof themαὐτῶν,
4Andκαὶthey were filled withἐπλήσθησανallπάντεςSpiritπνεύματοςHolyἁγίου,andκαὶbeganἤρξαντοto speakλαλεῖνin otherἑτέραιςtonguesγλώσσαιςasκαθὼςtheτὸSpiritπνεῦμαwas givingἐδίδουto utter forthἀποφθέγγεσθαιto themαὐτοῖς.
5WereἮσανnowδὲinἐνJerusalemἸερουσαλὴμdwellingκατοικοῦντεςJewsἸουδαῖοι,menἄνδρεςdevoutεὐλαβεῖςfromἀπὸeveryπαντὸςnationἔθνουςof thoseτῶνunderὑπὸτὸνheavenοὐρανόν·
6Having come aboutγενομένηςnowδὲtheτῆςsoundφωνῆςof thisταύτηςcame togetherσυνῆλθεtheτὸmultitudeπλῆθοςandκαὶwas confoundedσυνεχύθη,becauseὅτιwas hearingἤκουονoneεἷςeachἕκαστοςtheτῇownἰδίᾳlanguageδιαλέκτῳspeakingλαλούντωνthemαὐτῶν·
7They were amazedἐξίσταντοthenδὲandκαὶwere marvelingἐθαύμαζονsayingλέγοντες·notΟὐχbeholdἰδοὺallπάντεςtheseοὗτοίareεἰσινwhoοἱare speakingλαλοῦντεςGalileansΓαλιλαῖοι;
8Andκαὶhowπῶςweἡμεῖςhearἀκούομενeachἕκαστοςtheτῇownἰδίᾳlanguageδιαλέκτῳof usἡμῶνinἐνwhichᾗwe were bornἐγεννήθημεν;
9ParthiansΠάρθοιandκαὶMedesΜῆδοιandκαὶElamitesἘλαμῖται,andκαὶthoseοἱinhabitingκατοικοῦντεςτὴνMesopotamiaΜεσοποταμίαν,JudeaἸουδαίανalsoτεandκαὶCappadociaΚαππαδοκίαν,PontusΠόντονandκαὶτὴνAsiaἈσίαν,
10PhrygiaΦρυγίανbothτεandκαὶPamphyliaΠαμφυλίαν,EgyptΑἴγυπτονandκαὶtheτὰpartsμέρητῆςof LibyaΛιβύηςthatτῆς[are] aroundκατὰCyreneΚυρήνην,andκαὶthoseοἱvisiting [here]ἐπιδημοῦντεςfrom RomeῬωμαῖοι,
11JewsἸουδαῖοίbothτεandκαὶconvertsπροσήλυτοι,CretansΚρῆτεςandκαὶArabsἌραβες,we hearἀκούομενspeakingλαλούντωνthemαὐτῶνταῖς[in] our ownἡμετέραιςtonguesγλώσσαιςtheτὰgreat thingsμεγαλεῖατοῦof Godθεοῦ.
12Were amazedἐξίσταντοthenδὲallπάντεςandκαὶperplexedδιηπόρουν,otherἄλλοςtoπρὸςotherἄλλονsayingλέγοντες·WhatΤίwishesθέλειthisτοῦτοto beεἶναι;
13Othersἕτεροιhoweverδὲmockingδιαχλευάζοντεςwere sayingἔλεγονὅτιOf new wineΓλεύκουςfullμεμεστωμένοιthey areεἰσίν.
14Having stood upΣταθεὶςhoweverδὲὁPeterΠέτροςwithσὺνtheτοῖςelevenἕνδεκαhe lifted upἐπῆρενtheτὴνvoiceφωνὴνof himαὐτοῦandκαὶspoke forthἀπεφθέγξατοto themαὐτοῖς·MenἌνδρεςof JudeaἸουδαῖοιandκαὶthoseοἱinhabitingκατοικοῦντεςJerusalemἸερουσαλὴμallπάντες,thisτοῦτοto youὑμῖνknownγνωστὸνlet beἔστωandκαὶgive heed toἐνωτίσασθεtheτὰwordsῥήματάof meμου.
15Notοὐforγὰρasὡςyouὑμεῖςsupposeὑπολαμβάνετεtheseοὗτοιare drunkardsμεθύουσιν,it isἔστινforγὰρ[the] hourὥραthirdτρίτηof theτῆςdayἡμέρας,
16butἀλλὰthisτοῦτόisἐστινthatτὸhaving been spokenεἰρημένονbyδιὰtheτοῦprophetπροφήτουJoelἸωήλ·
17AndΚαὶit will beἔσταιinἐνtheταῖςlastἐσχάταιςdaysἡμέραις,saysλέγειὁGodθεός,I will pour outἐκχεῶofἀπὸtheτοῦSpiritπνεύματόςof Meμουuponἐπὶallπᾶσανfleshσάρκα,andκαὶwill prophesyπροφητεύσουσινtheοἱsonsυἱοὶof youὑμῶνandκαὶtheαἱdaughtersθυγατέρεςof youὑμῶν,andκαὶtheοἱyoung menνεανίσκοιof youὑμῶνvisionsὁράσειςwill seeὄψονται,andκαὶtheοἱeldersπρεσβύτεροιof youὑμῶνdreamsἐνυπνίοιςwill dreamἐνυπνιασθήσονται·
18evenκαίevenγεuponἐπὶtheτοὺςservantsδούλουςof Meμουandκαὶuponἐπὶtheτὰςhandmaidensδούλαςof MeμουinἐνtheταῖςdaysἡμέραιςthoseἐκείναιςI will pour outἐκχεῶofἀπὸtheτοῦSpiritπνεύματόςof Meμου,andκαὶthey will prophesyπροφητεύσουσιν.
19andκαὶI will showδώσωwondersτέραταinἐντῷheavenοὐρανῷaboveἄνωandκαὶsignsσημεῖαonἐπὶtheτῆςearthγῆςbelowκάτω,bloodαἷμαandκαὶfireπῦρandκαὶvaporἀτμίδαof smokeκαπνοῦ·
20Theὁsunἥλιοςwill be turnedμεταστραφήσεταιintoεἰςdarknessσκότοςandκαὶtheἡmoonσελήνηintoεἰςbloodαἷμαbeforeπρὶν*ἢcomingἐλθεῖνdayἡμέρανof [the] Lordκυρίουτὴνgreatμεγάληνandκαὶgloriousἐπιφανῆ.
21Andκαὶit shall beἔσταιeveryoneπᾶςwhoὃςifἐὰνthey shall call uponἐπικαλέσηταιtheτὸnameὄνομαof [the] Lordκυρίουwill be savedσωθήσεται.
22MenἌνδρεςIsraelitesἸσραηλῖται,hearἀκούσατεtheτοὺςwordsλόγουςtheseτούτους.JesusἸησοῦνofτὸνNazarethΝαζωραῖον,a manἄνδραhaving been set forthἀποδεδειγμένονbyἀπὸτοῦGodθεοῦtoεἰςyouὑμᾶςby miraclesδυνάμεσιandκαὶwondersτέρασιandκαὶsignsσημείοιςwhichοἷςdidἐποίησενbyδι’HimαὐτοῦὁGodθεὸςinἐνthe midstμέσῳof youὑμῶν,asκαθὼςyou yourselvesαὐτοὶknowοἴδατε,
23Himτοῦτονby theτῇdeterminateὡρισμένῃplanβουλῇandκαὶforeknowledgeπρογνώσειτοῦof Godθεοῦdelivered upἔκδοτονbyδιὰhandsχειρὸςlawlessἀνόμωνhaving crucifiedπροσπήξαντεςYou put to deathἀνείλατε,
24whomὃνὁGodθεὸςraised upἀνέστησενhaving loosedλύσαςtheτὰςagonyὠδῖναςofτοῦdeathθανάτου,inasmuch asκαθότιnotοὐκit wasἦνpossibleδυνατὸν[for] to be heldκρατεῖσθαιHimαὐτὸνbyὑπ’itαὐτοῦ·
25DavidΔαυὶδforγὰρsaysλέγειaboutεἰςHimαὐτόν·I foresawΠροορώμηνtheτὸνLordκύριονbeforeἐνώπιόνmeμουcontinuallyδιὰeverythingπαντός,becauseὅτιat [the]ἐκright handδεξιῶνof meμούHe isἐστινthatἵναnotμὴI should be shakenσαλευθῶ.
26Because ofδιὰthisτοῦτοwas gladηὐφράνθηtheἡheartκαρδίαof meμουandκαὶrejoicedἠγαλλιάσατοtheἡtongueγλῶσσάof meμου,andἔτιnowδὲalsoκαὶtheἡfleshσάρξof meμουwill dwellκατασκηνώσειinἐπ’hopeἐλπίδι·
27forὅτιnotοὐκYou will abandonἐγκαταλείψειςtheτὴνsoulψυχήνof meμουintoεἰςHadesᾅδην,norοὐδὲwill You allowδώσειςtheτὸνHoly Oneὅσιόνof Youσουto seeἰδεῖνdecayδιαφθοράν.
28You have made knownἐγνώρισάςto meμοι[the] pathsὁδοὺςof lifeζωῆς,You will fillπληρώσειςmeμεwith joyεὐφροσύνηςinμετὰtheτοῦpresenceπροσώπουof Youσου.
29MenἌνδρεςbrothersἀδελφοί,it is permitted [me]ἐξὸνto speakεἰπεῖνwithμετὰfreedomπαρρησίαςtoπρὸςyouὑμᾶςconcerningπερὶtheτοῦpatriarchπατριάρχουDavidΔαυίδ,thatὅτιbothκαὶhe diedἐτελεύτησενandκαὶwas buriedἐτάφη,andκαὶtheτὸtombμνῆμαof himαὐτοῦisἔστινamongἐνusἡμῖνuntoἄχριtheτῆςdayἡμέραςthisταύτης·
30A prophetπροφήτηςthereforeοὖνbeingὑπάρχων,andκαὶknowingεἰδὼςthatὅτιwith an oathὅρκῳsworeὤμοσενto himαὐτῷὁGodθεὸςout of [the]ἐκfruitκαρποῦof theτῆςloinsὀσφύοςof himαὐτοῦto setκαθίσαιuponἐπὶtheτὸνthroneθρόνονof himαὐτοῦ,
31Having foreseenπροϊδὼνhe spokeἐλάλησενconcerningπερὶtheτῆςresurrectionἀναστάσεωςof theτοῦChristχριστοῦthatὅτιneitherοὔτεwas He abandonedἐγκατελείφθηintoεἰςHadesᾅδηνnorοὔτεtheἡfleshσὰρξof Himαὐτοῦsawεἶδενdecayδιαφθοράν.
32ThisτοῦτοντὸνJesusἸησοῦνhas raised upἀνέστησενὁGodθεός,whereofοὗallπάντεςweἡμεῖςareἐσμενwitnessesμάρτυρες.
33To theτῇright handδεξιᾷthereforeοὖντοῦof Godθεοῦhaving been exaltedὑψωθεὶςτήνandτεthe promiseἐπαγγελίανof theτοῦSpiritπνεύματοςτοῦHolyἁγίουhaving receivedλαβὼνfromπαρὰtheτοῦFatherπατρὸςHe has poured outἐξέχεενthisτοῦτοwhichὃyouὑμεῖςare seeingβλέπετεandκαὶhearingἀκούετε.
34NotοὐforγὰρDavidΔαυὶδascendedἀνέβηintoεἰςtheτοὺςheavensοὐρανούς,he saysλέγειhoweverδὲhimselfαὐτός·SaidΕἶπενtheὁLordκύριοςtoτῷ[the] Lordκυρίῳof meμου·SitΚάθουatἐκ[the] right handδεξιῶνof Meμου,
35untilἕωςἂνI placeθῶtheτοὺςenemiesἐχθρούςof Youσουa footstoolὑποπόδιονof theτῶνfeetποδῶνof Youσου.
36Assuredlyἀσφαλῶςthereforeοὖνlet knowγινωσκέτωallπᾶς[the] houseοἶκοςof IsraelἸσραὴλthatὅτιbothκαὶLordκύριονHimαὐτὸνandκαὶChristχριστὸνhas madeἐποίησενὁGodθεός,thisτοῦτοντὸνJesusἸησοῦνwhomὃνyouὑμεῖςcrucifiedἐσταυρώσατε.
37Having heardἈκούσαντεςthenδὲthey were piercedκατενύγησανto theτὴνheartκαρδίαν,they saidεἶπόνthenτεtoπρὸςτὸνPeterΠέτρονandκαὶtheτοὺςotherλοιποὺςapostlesἀποστόλους·WhatΤίshall we doποιήσωμεν,menἄνδρεςbrothersἀδελφοί;
38PeterΠέτροςthenδὲtoπρὸςthemαὐτούς·RepentΜετανοήσατε,andκαὶbe baptizedβαπτισθήτωevery oneἕκαστοςof youὑμῶνinἐπὶtheτῷnameὀνόματιof JesusἸησοῦChristΧριστοῦfor theεἰςforgivenessἄφεσινof theτῶνsinsἁμαρτιῶνof youὑμῶν,andκαὶyou will receiveλήμψεσθεtheτὴνgiftδωρεὰνof theτοῦHolyἁγίουSpiritπνεύματος·
39To youὑμῖνforγάρisἐστινtheἡpromiseἐπαγγελίαandκαὶto theτοῖςchildrenτέκνοιςof youὑμῶνandκαὶto allπᾶσιthoseτοῖςatεἰςa distanceμακρὰνas many asὅσουςἂνshall call to Himselfπροσκαλέσηται[the] LordκύριοςtheὁGodθεὸςof usἡμῶν.
40Otherἑτέροιςandτεwordsλόγοιςmanyπλείοσινhe earnestly testifiedδιεμαρτύρατο,andκαὶwas exhortingπαρεκάλειthemαὐτοὺςsayingλέγων·Be savedΣώθητεfromἀπὸtheτῆςgenerationγενεᾶςτῆςperverseσκολιᾶςthisταύτης.
41Thoseοἱindeedμὲνthereforeοὖνhaving receivedἀποδεξάμενοιtheτὸνwordλόγονof himαὐτοῦwere baptizedἐβαπτίσθησαν,andκαὶwere addedπροσετέθησανonἐνtheτῇdayἡμέρᾳthatἐκείνῃsoulsψυχαὶaboutὡσεὶthree thousandτρισχίλιαι.
42They wereἦσανnowδὲsteadfastly continuingπροσκαρτεροῦντεςin theτῇteachingδιδαχῇof theτῶνapostlesἀποστόλωνandκαὶτῇin fellowshipκοινωνίᾳ,theτῇbreakingκλάσειof theτοῦbreadἄρτουandκαὶtheταῖςprayersπροσευχαῖς.
43There was comingἘγίνετοthenδὲupon everyπάσῃsoulψυχῇaweφόβος,manyπολλάandτεwondersτέραταandκαὶsignsσημεῖαthroughδιὰtheτῶνapostlesἀποστόλωνwere taking placeἐγίνετο.
44Allπάντεςnowδὲοἱbelievedπιστεύοντεςwereἦσανtogetherἐπὶtheτὸsameαὐτὸandκαὶhavingεἶχονall thingsἅπανταin commonκοινά,
45andκαὶtheτὰpossessionsκτήματαandκαὶtheτὰςgoodsὑπάρξειςthey were sellingἐπίπρασκονandκαὶwere dividingδιεμέριζονthemαὐτὰto allπᾶσινasκαθότιἄνanyoneτιςneedχρείανhadεἶχεν·
46Everyκαθ’dayἡμέρανandτεsteadfastly continuingπροσκαρτεροῦντεςwith one accordὁμοθυμαδὸνinἐνtheτῷtempleἱερῷ,breakingκλῶντέςthenτεat eachκατ’houseοἶκονbreadἄρτον,they were partakingμετελάμβανονof foodτροφῆςwithἐνgladnessἀγαλλιάσειandκαὶsincerityἀφελότητιof heartκαρδίας,
47praisingαἰνοῦντεςτὸνGodθεὸνandκαὶhavingἔχοντεςfavorχάρινwithπρὸςallὅλονtheτὸνpeopleλαόν.ὁAndδὲthe Lordκύριοςkept addingπροσετίθειthose whoτοὺςwere being savedσῳζομένουςeveryκαθ’dayἡμέρανtoἐπὶtheirτὸnumberαὐτό.
