Matthew 25
1ThenΤότεwill be likenedὁμοιωθήσεταιtheἡkingdomβασιλείαof theτῶνheavensοὐρανῶνto tenδέκαvirginsπαρθένοις,whoαἵτινεςhaving takenλαβοῦσαιtheτὰςlampsλαμπάδαςof themἑαυτῶνwent forthἐξῆλθονtoεἰςmeetὑπάντησινtheτοῦbridegroomνυμφίου.
2Fiveπέντεnowδὲofἐξthemαὐτῶνwereἦσανfoolishμωραὶandκαὶfiveπέντεwiseφρόνιμοι.
3Theαἱforγὰρfoolishμωραὶhaving takenλαβοῦσαιtheτὰςlampsλαμπάδαςtheirαὐτῶνnotοὐκdid takeἔλαβονwithμεθ’themἑαυτῶνoilἔλαιον·
4αἱbutδὲthe wiseφρόνιμοιtookἔλαβονoilἔλαιονinἐνtheτοῖςvesselsἀγγείοιςwithμετὰtheτῶνlampsλαμπάδωνof themἑαυτῶν.
5Tarryingχρονίζοντοςthenδὲtheτοῦbridegroomνυμφίουthey became drowsyἐνύσταξανallπᾶσαιandκαὶwere sleepingἐκάθευδον.
6At middleμέσηςthenδὲof [the] nightνυκτὸςa cryκραυγὴthere wasγέγονεν·BeholdἸδοὺtheὁbridegroomνυμφίος,Go forthἐξέρχεσθεtoεἰςmeetἀπάντησινhimαὐτοῦ.
7Thenτότεaroseἠγέρθησανallπᾶσαιtheαἱvirginsπαρθένοιthoseἐκεῖναιandκαὶtrimmedἐκόσμησανtheτὰςlampsλαμπάδαςof themἑαυτῶν.
8αἱAndδὲthe foolishμωραὶto theταῖςwiseφρονίμοιςsaidεἶπαν·GiveΔότεusἡμῖνofἐκtheτοῦoilἐλαίουof youὑμῶν,forὅτιtheαἱlampsλαμπάδεςof usἡμῶνare going outσβέννυνται.
9Answeredἀπεκρίθησανthenδὲtheαἱwiseφρόνιμοιsayingλέγουσαι·certainlyΜήποτεnoοὐnot evenμὴit might sufficeἀρκέσῃfor usἡμῖνandκαὶyouὑμῖν·Goπορεύεσθεratherμᾶλλονtoπρὸςthoseτοὺςsellingπωλοῦνταςandκαὶbuyἀγοράσατεfor yourselvesἑαυταῖς.
10[While] are going awayἀπερχομένωνthenδὲtheyαὐτῶνto buyἀγοράσαιcameἦλθενtheὁbridegroomνυμφίος,andκαὶthoseαἱreadyἕτοιμοιwent inεἰσῆλθονwithμετ’himαὐτοῦtoεἰςtheτοὺςwedding feastγάμους,andκαὶwas shutἐκλείσθηtheἡdoorθύρα.
11Afterwardὕστερονthenδὲcomeἔρχονταιalsoκαὶtheαἱotherλοιπαὶvirginsπαρθένοιsayingλέγουσαι·LordΚύριεLordκύριε,openἄνοιξονto usἡμῖν·
12ὁAndδὲansweringἀποκριθεὶςhe saidεἶπεν·TrulyἈμὴνI sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,notοὐκI do knowοἶδαyouὑμᾶς.
13Watchγρηγορεῖτεthereforeοὖν,forὅτιneitherοὐκdo you knowοἴδατεtheτὴνdayἡμέρανnorοὐδὲtheτὴνhourὥραν.
14[It is] likeὭσπερforγὰρa manἄνθρωποςgoing on a journeyἀποδημῶν[who] calledἐκάλεσενtheτοὺςownἰδίουςservantsδούλουςandκαὶdeliveredπαρέδωκενto themαὐτοῖςtheτὰpossessingὑπάρχονταof himαὐτοῦ,
15Andκαὶto oneᾧindeedμὲνhe gaveἔδωκενfiveπέντεtalentsτάλανταto oneᾧthenδὲtwoδύοto oneᾧthenδὲoneἕν,to eachἑκάστῳaccording toκατὰtheτὴνownἰδίανabilityδύναμιν,andκαὶhe left the regionἀπεδήμησεν.immediatelyεὐθέως
16Having goneπορευθεὶςthe [one]ὁtheτὰfiveπέντεtalentsτάλανταhaving receivedλαβὼνtradedἠργάσατοwithἐνthemαὐτοῖςandκαὶmadeἐκέρδησενmoreἄλλαfiveπέντε·
17Likewiseὡσαύτωςthe [one with]ὁtheτὰtwoδύοgainedἐκέρδησενmoreἄλλαtwoδύο·
18The [one]ὁhoweverδὲτὸoneἓνhaving receivedλαβὼνhaving gone awayἀπελθὼνdug inὤρυξενthe groundγῆνandκαὶhidἔκρυψενtheτὸmoneyἀργύριονof theτοῦmasterκυρίουof himαὐτοῦ.
19Afterμετὰthenδὲmuchπολὺνtimeχρόνονcomesἔρχεταιtheὁmasterκύριοςof theτῶνservantsδούλωνthoseἐκείνωνandκαὶtakesσυναίρειaccountλόγονwithμετ’themαὐτῶν
20Andκαὶhaving comeπροσελθὼνthe [one]ὁtheτὰfiveπέντεtalentsτάλανταhaving receivedλαβὼνbrought to [him]προσήνεγκενotherἄλλαfiveπέντεtalentsτάλανταsayingλέγων·MasterΚύριε,fiveπέντεtalentsτάλαντάto meμοιyou did deliverπαρέδωκας·Beholdἴδεmoreἄλλαfiveπέντεtalentsτάλανταhave I gainedἐκέρδησα.
21Saidἔφηto himαὐτῷtheὁmasterκύριοςof Himαὐτοῦ·Well doneΕὖ,servantδοῦλεgoodἀγαθὲandκαὶfaithfulπιστέ,Overἐπὶa few thingsὀλίγαyou wereἦςfaithfulπιστός,overἐπὶmany thingsπολλῶνyouσεwill I setκαταστήσω·Enterεἴσελθεintoεἰςtheτὴνjoyχαρὰνof theτοῦmasterκυρίουof youσου.
22Having comeπροσελθὼνandδὲalsoκαὶthe [one]ὁwith theτὰtwoδύοtalentsτάλανταhe saidεἶπεν·MasterΚύριε,twoδύοtalentsτάλαντάto meμοιyou did deliverπαρέδωκας·Beholdἴδεmoreἄλλαtwoδύοtalentsτάλανταhave I gainedἐκέρδησα.
23Saidἔφηto himαὐτῷtheὁmasterκύριοςof Himαὐτοῦ·Well doneΕὖ,servantδοῦλεgoodἀγαθὲandκαὶfaithfulπιστέ,Overἐπὶa few thingsὀλίγαyou wereἦςfaithfulπιστός,overἐπὶmany thingsπολλῶνyouσεwill I setκαταστήσω·Enterεἴσελθεintoεἰςtheτὴνjoyχαρὰνof theτοῦmasterκυρίουof youσου.
24Having comeπροσελθὼνthenδὲalsoκαὶthe [one]ὁtheτὸoneἓνtalentτάλαντονhaving receivedεἰληφὼςhe saidεἶπεν·MasterΚύριε,I knewἔγνωνyouσεthatὅτιhardσκληρὸςyou areεἶa manἄνθρωπος,reapingθερίζωνwhereὅπουnotοὐκyou did sowἔσπειραςandκαὶgatheringσυνάγωνfrom whereὅθενnotοὐyou did scatterδιεσκόρπισας·
25Andκαὶhaving been afraidφοβηθεὶςhaving gone awayἀπελθὼνI hidἔκρυψαtheτὸtalentτάλαντόνof youσουinἐνtheτῇgroundγῇ·Beholdἴδεyou haveἔχειςwhat [is]τὸyoursσόν.
26Answeringἀποκριθεὶςnowδὲtheὁmasterκύριοςof himαὐτοῦsaidεἶπενto himαὐτῷ·WickedΠονηρὲservantδοῦλεandκαὶlazyὀκνηρέ,You knewᾔδειςthatὅτιI reapθερίζωwhereὅπουnotοὐκI sowedἔσπειραandκαὶgatherσυνάγωfrom whereὅθενnotοὐI scatteredδιεσκόρπισα;
27It behoovedἔδειyouσεthereforeοὖνto putβαλεῖνtheτὰmoneyἀργύριάof meμουto theτοῖςbankersτραπεζίταις,andκαὶhaving comeἐλθὼνIἐγὼwould have receivedἐκομισάμηνἂντὸmy ownἐμὸνwithσὺνinterestτόκῳ.
28Takeἄρατεthereforeοὖνfromἀπ’himαὐτοῦtheτὸtalentτάλαντονandκαὶgive [it]δότεto the [one]τῷhavingἔχοντιtheτὰtenδέκαtalentsτάλαντα·
29τῷForγὰρhavingἔχοντιto everyoneπαντὶwill be givenδοθήσεταιandκαὶhe will have in abundanceπερισσευθήσεται·the [one]τοῦhoweverδὲnotμὴhavingἔχοντοςevenκαὶthat whichὃhe hasἔχειwill be taken awayἀρθήσεταιfromἀπ’himαὐτοῦ.
30Andκαὶtheτὸνworthlessἀχρεῖονservantδοῦλονcast outἐκβάλετεintoεἰςtheτὸdarknessσκότοςτὸouterἐξώτερον·thereἐκεῖwill beἔσταιtheὁweepingκλαυθμὸςandκαὶtheὁgnashingβρυγμὸςof theτῶνteethὀδόντων.
31WhenὍτανthenδὲcomesἔλθῃtheὁSonυἱὸςτοῦof Manἀνθρώπουinἐνtheτῇgloryδόξῃof Himαὐτοῦandκαὶallπάντεςtheοἱangelsἄγγελοιwithμετ’Himαὐτοῦ,thenτότεHe will sitκαθίσειupon [the]ἐπὶthroneθρόνουof gloryδόξηςof Himαὐτοῦ·
32Andκαὶwill be gatheredσυναχθήσονταιbeforeἔμπροσθενHimαὐτοῦallπάνταtheτὰnationsἔθνη,andκαὶHe will separateἀφορίσειthemαὐτοὺςfromἀπ’one anotherἀλλήλων,asὥσπερtheὁshepherdποιμὴνseparatesἀφορίζειtheτὰsheepπρόβαταfromἀπὸtheτῶνgoatsἐρίφων,
33AndκαὶHe will setστήσειτὰindeedμὲνthe sheepπρόβαταonἐκ[the] right handδεξιῶνof Himαὐτοῦτὰandδὲthe goatsἐρίφιαonἐξ[the] leftεὐωνύμων.
34Thenτότεwill sayἐρεῖtheὁKingβασιλεὺςto thoseτοῖςonἐκ[the] right handδεξιῶνof Himαὐτοῦ·ComeΔεῦτε,thoseοἱbeing blessedεὐλογημένοιof theτοῦFatherπατρόςof meμου,inheritκληρονομήσατεtheτὴνhaving been preparedἡτοιμασμένηνfor youὑμῖνkingdomβασιλείανfrom [the]ἀπὸfoundationκαταβολῆςof [the] worldκόσμου.
35I hungeredἐπείνασαforγὰρandκαὶyou gaveἐδώκατέMeμοιto eatφαγεῖν,I thirstedἐδίψησαandκαὶyou gave to drinkἐποτίσατέmeμε,a strangerξένοςI wasἤμηνandκαὶyou took inσυνηγάγετέMeμε,
36nakedγυμνὸςandκαὶyou clothedπεριεβάλετέMeμε,I was sickἠσθένησαandκαὶyou visitedἐπεσκέψασθέMeμε,inἐνprisonφυλακῇI wasἤμηνandκαὶyou cameἤλθατεtoπρόςMeμε.
37Thenτότεwill answerἀποκριθήσονταιHimαὐτῷtheοἱrighteousδίκαιοιsayingλέγοντες·LordΚύριε,whenπότεYouσεsaw weεἴδομενhungeringπεινῶνταandκαὶfed [You]ἐθρέψαμεν,Orἢthirstingδιψῶνταandκαὶgave [You] to drinkἐποτίσαμεν;
38WhenπότεnowδέYouσεsaw weεἴδομενa strangerξένονandκαὶtook [You] inσυνηγάγομεν,Orἢnakedγυμνὸνandκαὶclothed [You]περιεβάλομεν;
39WhenπότεnowδέYouσεsaw weεἴδομενailingἀσθενοῦνταorἢinἐνprisonφυλακῇandκαὶcameἤλθομενtoπρόςYouσε;
40AndκαὶansweringἀποκριθεὶςtheὁKingβασιλεὺςwill sayἐρεῖto themαὐτοῖς·TrulyἈμὴνI sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,to the extentἐφ’as much asὅσονyou did [it]ἐποιήσατεto oneἑνὶof theseτούτωνtheτῶνbrothersἀδελφῶνof Meμουtheτῶνleastἐλαχίστων,to Meἐμοὶyou did [it]ἐποιήσατε.
41Thenτότεwill He sayἐρεῖalsoκαὶto thoseτοῖςonἐξ[the] leftεὐωνύμων·DepartΠορεύεσθεfromἀπ’Meἐμοῦonesοἱbeing cursedκατηραμένοιintoεἰςtheτὸfireπῦρτὸeternalαἰώνιοντὸhaving been preparedἡτοιμασμένονfor theτῷdevilδιαβόλῳandκαὶtheτοῖςangelsἀγγέλοιςof himαὐτοῦ.
42I hungeredἐπείνασαforγὰρandκαὶnothingοὐκyou gaveἐδώκατέto Meμοιto eatφαγεῖν,I thirstedἐδίψησαandκαὶnothingοὐκYou gave to drinkἐποτίσατέMeμε,
43a strangerξένοςI wasἤμηνandκαὶnotοὐYou took inσυνηγάγετέMeμε,nakedγυμνὸςandκαὶnotοὐyou did clotheπεριεβάλετέMeμε,sickἀσθενὴςandκαὶinἐνprisonφυλακῇandκαὶnotοὐκdid you visitἐπεσκέψασθέMeμε.
44Thenτότεwill answerἀποκριθήσονταιalsoκαὶthemselvesαὐτοὶsayingλέγοντες·LordΚύριε,whenπότεYouσεsaw weεἴδομενhungeringπεινῶνταorἢthirstingδιψῶνταorἢa strangerξένονorἢnakedγυμνὸνorἢsickἀσθενῆorἢinἐνprisonφυλακῇandκαὶnotοὐdid ministerδιηκονήσαμένto Youσοι;
45Thenτότεwill He answerἀποκριθήσεταιthemαὐτοῖςsayingλέγων·TrulyἈμὴνI sayλέγωto youὑμῖν,to the extentἐφ’thatὅσονnotοὐκyou did [it]ἐποιήσατεto oneἑνὶof theseτούτωνtheτῶνleastἐλαχίστων,neitherοὐδὲto Meἐμοὶdid youἐποιήσατε.
46Andκαὶwill go awayἀπελεύσονταιtheseοὗτοιintoεἰςpunishmentκόλασινeternalαἰώνιον,οἱbutδὲthe righteousδίκαιοιintoεἰςlifeζωὴνeternalαἰώνιον.
